Rants & Snippets: November 2008
http://dlrants.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Anything that's worth mentioning will go here. Saturday, November 29, 2008. I'm just looking over my computer games, and I saw a duo which I love, the Sims series. I was twelve when I started playing the games, and haven't played either for quite a while now. Unfortunately, I know of an eight year old girl whom just bought the second one, and this unnerves me. The second game is much more explicit, especially on the theme of sex. A "woo-hoo" in Sims 2. Friday, November 28, 2008. The following is an actua...

Rants & Snippets: On Australia's obsession with the Simpsons.
http://dlrants.blogspot.com/2009/03/on-australias-obsession-with-simpsons.html
Anything that's worth mentioning will go here. Friday, March 13, 2009. On Australia's obsession with the Simpsons. I owe all of my knowledge of History and Literature to that cartoon. I count myself among its fans, having watched every episode to air on Australian TV as well as having the first two seasons boxed. I used to watch the Simpsons religiously. Why? Because its there. Its everywhere. Is it like this in other countries? I'm not complaining about it, as I said, I love the Simpsons.

Rants & Snippets: On what I did today and how I feel
http://dlrants.blogspot.com/2009/10/on-what-i-did-today-and-how-i-feel.html
Anything that's worth mentioning will go here. Friday, October 2, 2009. On what I did today and how I feel. I've just been reading (and subsequently commenting on) the blog of a complete stranger. I feel as though she (I assume its a she, or a homosexual male) and I share some common traits, though I don't really care. It just got me thinking that I should write my feelings down. Today, I bought a homeless man a meal and we had lunch together. Why did I do this? I feel so lonely.

Rants & Snippets: January 2009
http://dlrants.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Anything that's worth mentioning will go here. Friday, January 30, 2009. On My Right to Read and Singers. Recently, I've been reading some non-fiction, mainly philosophy or political (which are one in the same, really). For my birthday/Christmas (they've close so the gifts received are simultaneous) I attained a copy of the six hundred page monster that is Adolf Hitler's Mein Kampf. Like, every single one: Brown Eyed Girl. Originally Brown Skinned Girl) Vanilla Ice Cream. My second point of posting is to...

Rants & Snippets: On the Dividing Line

Anything that's worth mentioning will go here. Thursday, February 19, 2009. On the Dividing Line. I consider myself liberal. Yet so many times I find my heart swaying down the conservatives lane. Take abortion, I don't want the fetus to "die", but I want people to be free to make the choice. Who am I to say what one can or cannot do? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Darklight's Reviews: [Movie Review] Lolita (1964)
http://darklight123444.blogspot.com/2008/11/movie-review-lolita-1964.html
A collection of review based on anything I do. Saturday, November 22, 2008. Movie Review] Lolita (1964). The film is black and white, though this does nothing to detract from the experience. This is most due to the artistic brilliance that is Stanley Kubrick's direction. The film was produced after the epic Spartacus. Which has similar elements, though far more erotic. Lolita. Starring Kevin Bacon, which I recommend to anyone exploring the subject through film. So due to the groundbreaking subject matter...

Darklight's Reviews: December 2008
http://darklight123444.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
A collection of review based on anything I do. Monday, December 8, 2008. Movie Review] Wallace and Gromit: A matter of Loaf and Death. Is a disappointment, in my opinion. It achieves fairly in its own right but, like the latest Bond flick, cannot hold it's head high in the company of its kin. Wallace coming to grips with his loneliness, or perhaps Gromit tackling his substance abuse issues. I fear for my favorite claymates. Are there darker times ahead? I can't describe the feeling, I just felt that it w...

Rants & Snippets: On coming cinema and stuff I draw'd
http://dlrants.blogspot.com/2009/01/on-coming-cinema-and-stuff-i-drawd.html
Anything that's worth mentioning will go here. Thursday, January 29, 2009. On coming cinema and stuff I draw'd. I like movies. I watch them a lot. My class cannot have a trivia game based solely around film, lest they fall to my prowess. I've noticed some moving in the cinematic cesspool and I thought I may as well comment on them, seeing as I just got my net back. The Karate Kid Remake. Still, I'm going to watch the movie. In fact, I'll watch the series tonight. He's just not that into you.

http://dlrants.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Anything that's worth mentioning will go here. Tuesday, December 23, 2008. On cigarettes and being cool. I'll say this straight off: smoking looks cool. It looks cool and it creates a air of awesomeness for a male to smoke, whilst bringing a female the visage of a vixen. However smoking kills. Does the end justify the coolness? Why should humans be forced to be designated "weaknesses"? To end this conaluted post, I quote Fort Minor's Cigarette:. It's just like a cigarette, nobody's really fooled. Go over...
