http://lindazajac.blogspot.com/2015/02/6301990-172015-normal-0-false-false.html
Thursday, February 5, 2015. A Tribute to Daniel. This year has been a painful one. When I. Wake up in the morning or in the middle of the night, my thoughts echo like the clanging of a hollow pipe or a church bell ringing in an empty village. Dan Dan. Dan. Dan. Dan. Dan. I’m dedicating this post to my 24-year-old son. When Dan and his twin sister, Melanie, came into our lives, we were joyous. Having them to love was a gift. We felt lucky—really lucky. He spent a month in the hospital. He never dwelled on...

Monday, March 2, 2015. Last month, reality settled in my joints, slowing movements in all directions. I'm still a writer and a fighter, but I sustained a pretty hard blow. I'm somewhat dazed because half of me is searching for answers I'll never find. This month, I resolve to climb all the way back in the writing rink and return to regular exercise too. Wish me luck! I neglected to mention, in January the Royal Society of Chemistry published my article on vultures. Posted by Linda Zajac. Writers on a roll.

Linda Zajac: Rifugio Lagazui, Passo Falzarego in the Dolomites, Italy
http://lindazajac.blogspot.com/2014/12/rifugio-lagazui-passo-falzarego-in.html
Monday, December 22, 2014. Rifugio Lagazui, Passo Falzarego in the Dolomites, Italy. What a delight to receive all these enthusiastic thank you notes! We hiked to that little building on top. Look at that, you don't need to sweat or strain, the chairlift (left) is next to the hut. In the morning, we lingered, not wanting to leave. Oh, so exciting. There were remnants of WWI scattered in the towering spires. After trekking uphill for some time, we came to one- a tunnel! Golden spires at the top.

Sunday, November 9, 2014. Alpe di Suisi, Castelrotto Italy. Searching for Monkeys, December 2014. Yesterday, I received the December issue of Highlights for Children. My article about a scientist who trekked through the rainforest in Brazil to study beautiful golden lion tamarins, was published on page 16 and 17. That article was submitted in 2005 and I had given up ever seeing it in print. Needless to say, I was quite pleased. Time has improved the piece. Posted by Linda Zajac. Videos - wildlife, science.

Linda Zajac: QUOTES
http://lindazajac.blogspot.com/2011/01/quotes.html
Sunday, January 2, 2011. When I first started writing, my native language was COBOL. LRZ 7/1/14. I don't let Hope play in traffic because she'll get hurt. Instead, I keep her close to my heart. Picking a story is like finding a gem at a quarry and knowing just how to turn it so the sun makes it sparkle. There's nothing quite like meandering through the Midnight Garden, picking words and making new arrangements. Some times pulling the words out of me is like yanking a knotted skein of yarn. Ideas need fre...

Linda Zajac: Climate Change in a Nutshell
http://lindazajac.blogspot.com/2012/11/climate-change-in-nutshell.html
Monday, November 12, 2012. Climate Change in a Nutshell. I wrote an editorial about climate change for the Hartford Courant and was surprised to find it in Sunday's paper. I whipped it up out of frustration that neither candidate was bringing up this important topic. At the time, I didn't even consider it a clip. Here it is:. Climate Change in a Nutshell. When we crack the shell and get to the meat of the matter, climate change is not about politics and it's not about religion. You can find current carbo...
