kbiendesigns: May 2011

Friday, May 27, 2011. Theresa Collins Baby Boutique and Elegant Edges. I got the Theresa Collins Baby Boutique Imagine cartridge today and had to make something. I needed a birthday card, but nothing really feminine. I cut the fleur de lis out at 3" and did the layers. I then cut out the mat on the Imagine and flood filled it with the gray from the TCBB cart, so it would match the gray in the fleur de lis. The mat was cut at 5". I added the fleur de lis ribbon and the bird sticker are both from Michaels.

paper sissors rock: Thanksgiving Blog Hop Day 2
http://paper-sissors-rock.blogspot.com/2010/11/thanksgiving-blog-hop-day-2.html
Sunday, November 7, 2010. Thanksgiving Blog Hop Day 2. For my second project I intended to make a card. My idea was to take one of the many. Wouldn't it be cool (I thought) if they were on a stem. This is what I ended up with. Well, I have to say I got pretty excited because I had made a whole flower. I had to try again - and again and again! Adding stamens and different kinds of centers. And experimenting with ways to get them on stems. A day later I had a little bouquet. But I never did make a card.

paper sissors rock: Thanksgiving Blog Hop
http://paper-sissors-rock.blogspot.com/2010/11/thanksgiving-blog-hop.html
Saturday, November 6, 2010. Welcome to my first ever blog hop! The theme is "Thankful for Family, Friends, Freedom, and Food" and we are all doing a post about a project today and tomorrow. This layout covers family and food. The people in the picture are my parents, probably about 1958 and I'm pretty sure they are sitting at my grandmother's Thanksgiving table in Otsego, Ohio. That's where my father grew up. Its a happy picture and I was delighted to discover it. Visit all the blogs that are taking part.

A place to share my crafty creations. Photos by Mandy Blog. Monday, November 8, 2010. I made this layout for the Cricut Circle Blog Weekly Challenge # 6. The challenge was to use a bird and some sort of stitching and at least two cuts from the cricut. Here is my double page layout. The banners are from Indie Art, I just cut them out and then cut the top parts off by hand to make them in the shape I wanted them in. The birds are from Straight from the Nest and the letters are from Lyrical Letters. Welcome...

Thursday, October 28, 2010. Halloween Fly Tossing Game. It's a Halloween miracle! I volunteered to help with my son's first-grade class's Halloween party, and I used an idea my bff Janice came up with for a fly-tossing game. She is not only creative, but also understands how much children enjoy hurling things. (Check out her blog: http:/ www.cricutconfessions.com/. Paper Doll Dress Up. Plantin Schoolbook (or any of the other gazillions of cartridges that have circles on them). At 2": Come into my parlour.
