Thursday, May 28, 2009. I went to AZ this past couple of weeks to be with my family. It was a lot of fun. We mostly just hung around at home but if you know me nothing could be better. It was my dad's 60th Birthday so my parents wanted us all together (minus my Hubby) We got to do a lot of shopping and a lot of eating. My parents were there for a week and then I stayed a week longer. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

They say I'm a brave one: July 2010
http://erinfaun.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
They say I'm a brave one. This is the story of a single, newly christened dental hygienist and her new life in Denver, Colorado. Thursday, July 22, 2010. It's not me.it's you. Surprisingly enough, I am not referring to relationships, but patients that come in for a cleaning. I have been working for about 6? Instead of a warm response, which is what I usually get, it's monosyllabic 'yes' or 'no' or 'hm.' LAME. Tuesday, July 20, 2010. I love my dad! I know that the Lord has kept His hand in these things...

Becoming: I think I chose the right profession...
http://pirateslikecookiestoo.blogspot.com/2013/06/i-think-i-chose-right-profession.html
All along the untrodden paths of the future, I can see the footprints of an unseen hand. I think I chose the right profession. I teach. I love my job. I always worry that I'm not doing the best for the kids. but after announcing that I was leaving PCHS, I got an interesting response on some of their tests. that made me feel pretty good. I'm posting them here, not necessarily for self aggrandizement, but to keep as a reminder that I chose the correct profession and that my efforts are paying off. I have n...

Becoming: June 2013
http://pirateslikecookiestoo.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
All along the untrodden paths of the future, I can see the footprints of an unseen hand. So avoid using the word ‘very’ because it’s lazy. A man is not very tired, he is exhausted. Don’t use very sad, use morose. Language was invented for one reason, boys - to woo women - and, in that endeavor, laziness will not do." —Dead Poets Society. Henry VI Part 1 – V.ii. She’s beautiful, and therefore to be wooed; She is woman, and therefore to be won". 8213; Alan Wilson Watts. Because the clear fact that roosevel...

Becoming: Define: need
http://pirateslikecookiestoo.blogspot.com/2012/08/define-need.html
All along the untrodden paths of the future, I can see the footprints of an unseen hand. Require (something) because it is essential or very important: "I need help now". Circumstances in which something is necessary, or that require some course of action; necessity: "the need for. I'd say I'm a reasonably independent woman. Stubbornly so, in fact. At times, though, even the most independent people use the word (verb or noun) need. And, in the midst of needing. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

just joshing around: January 2010
http://just-joshingaround.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Because that's all I really do anyways-. Thursday, January 28, 2010. I've been sitting here for some time thinking of an eloquent, articulate way of blogging the fact that I just passed the Foreign Service Oral Exam, and I've concluded that the best way of intimating it is just by saying it. I passed the Foreign Service Oral Exam. And now, if I may hop on that horse named Sentimentality, I wish to elucidate my thoughts:. Links to this post. Wednesday, January 20, 2010. Is It Worth It? just joshing around: February 2010
http://just-joshingaround.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Because that's all I really do anyways-. Thursday, February 25, 2010. I spend a substantial amount of my time at work with a tv in sight. Lately it has stayed tuned on to the Olympics; I've loved it. At first, upon watching the players curl their stones down the ice, sweepers vigorously preceding it, derogatory thoughts of, "this is stupid" and "what a goofy sport! It is a riot hearing t...
