Saturday, February 14, 2009. Opening shots looked like a bad home movie. Combine that with acting that would be laughed off stage at a kindergarten nativity play. Music that feels as if it's been badly dubbed over from a completely different film. Soon we are treated with dialogue that would have been rejected even by Ed Wood. Monday, October 15, 2012. There are a lot of bad films out there and most often, if I see one, I acknowledge that it's just bad and move on. However, now and again a film infuriates me with its badness, usually because of the reasons it's bad. Zombieland is one of those films. The film looks like a big budget take and attempt to cash in on the ground breaking ZomRomCom Shawn of the Dead, but has substituted whimsy for comedy, cartoons for characters, and special effects in place of a plot.
