The Inane Ramblings of DMWCarol. I'm feeling really lucky this evening. Thanks to an invite on facebook I took part in a christmas card thing where people volunteer to send seasonal greetings to LGBT folks in prison. I sent 10 cards, the only cards I sent this year because generally I think they are a waste of paper and money. I feel so incredibly lucky that I have friends and family and people around me who make me feel loved every day and that I will never again be that alone.

The Inane Ramblings of DMWCarol. Dec 18th, 2014. Easiest ever bread recipe. I have found a bread recipe that is so easy that even I can make it, regardless of the dodgy hand of fail. You don't even have to knead, instead you give the dough lots of extra time so the gluten strands can develop naturally. Take a big bowl and mix together. 3 cups plain flour (or bread flour). 1 tsp instant yeast. 15 cups warm water. Comes out with a beautiful crisp crust and soft spongey centre, really yummy!

This slow cooker recipe is super simple and the results are delicious. 2 onions, finely chopped. 2 carrots finely chopped. At least 2 rashers streaky bacon/gammon chopped into small pieces. 1 tablespoon brown sugar. 1 finely chopped chilli. 2 cloves garlic, crushed. 1 large jar passata. Half a pint of stock (from a cube is fine).

It was only a small pagan thing in the wilds of Ipswich but he came along, sparkled, entertained, and then donated his fee to the convention charity. And then there are the books. Hours upon hours of pleasure. Deep laughs, funny lines and cutting thoughts that are recycled on a near daily basis. I can’t even begin to imagine how different my life would be if Terry Pratchett hadn’t been part of it.
