Lost and cold: June 2015
http://lostandcold.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 16 June 2015. Reptile park once again. While some of the family was around over Christmas we popped into the reptile park once again, as Alex was finally old enough to appreciate it a little. Although he not looking too enthused here. Some extremely placid kangaroos. A very poor effort by the croc he was there for the taking. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Reptile park once again. View my complete profile. Watermark template. Lost and cold: NZ 2014
http://lostandcold.blogspot.com/2014/07/nz-2014.html
Tuesday, 8 July 2014. Every few years it is time for the obligatory trip back home, and it is getting trickier now with a few children, luckily it is a short flight although air NZ managed to add a couple of unnecessary hours of sitting on the runway due to their incompetence. Claire catching her first fish. First and probably last sack race judging by that effort. There were alot of hedgehogs everywhere. My family adopted some kittens for a few weeks. A very cold and windy day at the beach in Raglan.

Lost and cold: November 2013
http://lostandcold.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Monday, 25 November 2013. Back in September my sister and her family came to visit. Claire teaching her cousin to read. Hoards of peasant teaming on the steps. One of Australia's many non-operational underwater tubes. Way more impressed with some seaweed. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Watermark template. Powered by Blogger.

Lost and cold: December 2013
http://lostandcold.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 17 December 2013. It is about time I posted something although I have not gone anywhere interesting for a while. Here are a few photos from a recent foray into the bush behind my house. Australian Brush-Turkey (Alectura lathami). Bossiaea obcordata a very elegant member of Fabaceae. In non-wildlife related matters the garden is progressing despite the weather's and the wildlife's best efforts to exterminate it, and already managed to produce some corn leeks and tomatoes. Lost and cold: Garden critters
http://lostandcold.blogspot.com/2014/06/garden-critters.html
Wednesday, 4 June 2014. Heck I am nearly as far behind on my blog as Allan. Not much of great excitement has been happening as I have mostly just being kept busy in the garden or working on the house. The garden is slowly getting there and I have done reasonably well with the garlic, tomatoes, pumpkins and brocoli. The brussel sprots were a miserable failure though and my rhubarb keeps getting eaten by the possums. Some corn, leeks and tomatoes. A connoisseur of fine tomatoes. View my complete profile.

Castaway Kiwis: October 2011
http://castawaykiwis.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 17, 2011. Meet Gary, the latest addition to our Canadian family. We adopted him last week and he is already settling in well and making himself feel at home. He is still just a kitten at 6 months old but so far has refrained from destroying our house. I hope our good luck continues. Aleisha and Simon Iremonger. Saturday, October 01, 2011. Riding the cannon at the Citadel fort in Halifax. The picturesque town Lunenburg. The Bay of Fundy, home of the worlds biggest tides. My Big Bro's Blog.

Castaway Kiwis: October 2012
http://castawaykiwis.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 07, 2012. Back into the Mts. Where did the summer go? With the new job, work travel, baby on the way and a we stint back in NZ summer seems to have escaped us this year. As a result we did not get into the Mts anywhere near as much as we normally would. But last weekend, with Aleisha starting to feel a little more energetic we managed to get out to Chester Lake for a nice stroll in the alpine meadows. Aleisha and Simon Iremonger. Lost and cold: Reptile park
http://lostandcold.blogspot.com/2014/07/reptile-park.html
Tuesday, 1 July 2014. A while back I decided to take Claire up to the reptile park. She really liked the playground and was interested in the animals but dissapointed she could not get in the pool with the crocodile as it was rather warm. A very bored kangaroo. Could have just stayed at home and played with the parrots. A orchid in the bush near the house, my guess is Dipodium punctatum. But I may be wrong. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Lost and cold: Pumpkins
http://lostandcold.blogspot.com/2014/08/pumpkins.html
Tuesday, 5 August 2014. Always wanted to grow a few pumpkins as it is pretty easy if you have the space, although a bit more rain at times would not have hurt. Anyway here is about a quarter of the total, sadly the little green ones do not store as well as the rest and since that was mostly what I got a lot of them will probably go rotten before I get around to eating them. The good thing about growing pumpkins as badly as I do is all the nice little Illeis galbula. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
