Boathouse and Boat Rentals. Come to the Boathouse! Boat house is open May - October. 9 AM - 5 PM weather permitting. The boathouse is where you can rent a boat and arrange for dock space. Our rental fleet includes canoes, kayaks, paddle boats, and small fishing boats with motors. We have fishing equipment, and other items for rent or for sale. Boathouse and Boat Rentals. In the old Days. This property was originally the site of the Icehouse of the Poland Spring Hotels. Many of the hotel's activities happened on the lake, including dog races, swimming and more. The property was owned for many years by the Hales Family. They had cabins, with access to the lake. It then became campground and then later a restaurant. We are very proud that to have bought this property and returned it to Poland Spring Resort ownership.
