Our RV Adventures: October 2014
http://cochantravels.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 30, 2014. Tire Pressure Monitoring System. Don't leave home without one. After a near blowout on my last toy hauler, see photo below. I bought a TPMS from Tire Safeguard. This gadget will monitor your tires air pressure and temperature, and alert you of any problems. Each tire is installed with a little screw on sensor that sends its readings back to the display in the coach. This is called peace of mind while traveling. Tuesday, October 21, 2014. Gotta Go To The Beach. Jan and I usuall...

Our RV Adventures: Walt Disney World
http://cochantravels.blogspot.com/2015/07/walt-disney-world.html
Thursday, July 16, 2015. My sister is fortunate enough to have four wonderful grandchildren. As soon as one of them reaches the age of 9, she takes them to Walt Disney World in Florida. This past March, 2015, Jan and I were fortunate enough to join her and our grand-nephew at the magical kingdom. Then we were off to Orlando. We stayed for 5 nights at the Lake Louisa State Park just 30 miles outside of town. On one of our off days, we visited the Kennedy Space Center. Very impressive. The next day we went...

Our RV Adventures: September 2014
http://cochantravels.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 4, 2014. Here is a picture of the black walnuts in their shell. They are heavy and hard. The next morning there were tree limbs everywhere. Power outages struck the town of Dewey. Again, luckily, we never lost power, nor had any significant tree damage, or most importantly, motorhome damage. Tomorrow, we hope to head out for Branson, Mo. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Our RV Adventures: July 2015
http://cochantravels.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 29, 2015. Makers Mark - Loretto Kentucky. So, anyway, I have been wanting to get to the distillery for some time now. In July 2015, we finally got the chance. This place in Loretto, Ky is not easy to find, but we drove thru some beautiful rolling hills full of fields of corn. Entrance to Makers Mark. From there we went into one of the Rickhouses where the barrels are stored for aging. My barrel is in there somewhere with my name on the plaque attached to it. Then it was off to the bottlin...

Our RV Adventures: November 2014
http://cochantravels.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 3, 2014. This month we are on a Civil War quest. Sunday night we stayed at Sam Houston Jones State Park just a few miles outside of Lake Charles, La. Tall pine trees and beautiful fall colors abound. On our morning stroll around the park, we encountered signs indicating alligators in the area. Even tho we had some alligator bait with us, Lady, our Dashound, we saw nary a one. Darn. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Retired and loving it. View my complete profile.

Our RV Adventures: August 2014
http://cochantravels.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 26, 2014. What goes around, comes around. I have finally become the person I usually yell at while driving down the highway. Regardless of whether the speed limit is 70 or 75, I drive this monstrosity of a motorhome down the interstate at 60 mph. Taking my time, no hurry. I'll get there when I get there. So please do wave when you pass me by. Monday, August 11, 2014. Parking a Class A in the Back Yard. The Forest River FR3 Class A Motorhome. We bought our first travel trailer, a 23' Weeke...

Wednesday, August 26, 2015. FR3 30DS - One Year Old. The last problem I had the dealer fix was the windshield wipers. Apparently the driver side wiper needed some tightening and it is now working as intended. So much for the bad stuff. Now, the enhancements we have done. Note a lot of these have come from reading the forums and seeing the enhancements other folks have done. Additionally, I installed a GoPower TS-30 Transfer switch so I could easily transfer power between shore power and generator without...

Our RV Adventures: St Louis, Missouri
http://cochantravels.blogspot.com/2015/08/st-louis-missouri.html
Monday, August 3, 2015. St Louis, Missouri. Here is a shot of Frances Rene 3rd with the arch in the background. That night we headed to the casino, and Jan found a slot machine that just kept giving her money. We both walked out with more than we entered with. That was fun. The next day, we headed out on the Metro railway into downtown St Louis. We had tickets for the Arch for 12:40 pm, so we visited the old courthouse and downtown area. For lunch we had some of those famous St Louis ribs.
