It was a local holiday so children were out playing games and riding bikes. When we arrived it was already dark and we only caught a glimpse of one temple. The next morning began with breakfast on the rooftop restaurant of our hotel, right across from the temples. We could see 4 of the 18 temples here, and it was a truly spectacular sight - humbling for any artist attempting to create something of lasting worth. PANKAJ SETH, BSc, ND.
