As the second episode, “Founder’s Mutation,” began, I found myself still so totally stuck on the idea that they re-opened the X-Files on the flimsiest of cases and that I’m pretty sure that Mulder and Scully aren’t FBI agents anymore. Are agents allowed a hiatus? Or are they consultants like Raymond Reddington, Hannibal Lecter, and Will Graham? Will they ever answer this question?

Last night after a ton of anticipation and 201 days of watching episodes (I didn’t exactly do that). The reunion was characteristically less than exuberant, in part because football went long. As a pessimist, it’s also the criticism, but mostly it’s actually doing something. I’m so not sure what this blog will be, except in its infancy a safe space for me to write about what moves me. That’s it for now. I haven’t thought much about my direction, but at least if I keep writing, I may find it.
