IN THE SHADOW OF BONDS: Maybe there is some magic left inside!?!
http://intheshadowofbonds.blogspot.com/2011/05/maybe-there-is-some-magic-left-inside.html
Saturday, May 28, 2011. Maybe there is some magic left inside! The second game after "the incident" regarding Buster Posey had Giants fans, and probably Giants players, fearing the worst. After all, it had been 18 innings since the Giants had scored a run and Shaun Marcum was dealing. They were proven wrong in the 7th when the Giants loaded the bases against Marcum and the guy who was taking only his second major league AB showed that the magic is still there if you look hard enough. Maybe there is some ...

IN THE SHADOW OF BONDS: First place Giants keep rolling!
http://intheshadowofbonds.blogspot.com/2011/06/first-place-giants-keep-rolling.html
Saturday, June 4, 2011. First place Giants keep rolling! After taking 3 out of 4 from the Central division leading St. Louis Cardinals and regaining sole possession of first place in the NL West. The Giants came home last night and took care of business against the Colorado Rockies. I'm not the only one who feels Miggy might be done. Tomorrow's forecast calls for rain. That's a bummer. Hopefully they can squeeze the game in but we will see. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). IN THE SHADOW OF BONDS.

Thoughts on the soul and strategy of the San Francisco Giants. Week [4] In Review (April 27-May 3) #SFGiants. May 3, 2015. Well, friends, just like that our beloved Giants are out of the cellar and have won 6 straight games at home. Finally, it was good to see Casey McGehee do something good! I still stand at the forefront of the #FreeDuffy campaign, but if he’s going to play, I’m going to root for Casey to be mighty with that bat. Hitter of the Week:. Pitcher of the Week:. It feels like Hudson is the ea...

Thoughts on the soul and strategy of the San Francisco Giants. Week [12] In Review (6/20-6/26) #sfgiants #weekinreview. June 27, 2016. This was not a good week for our POWs from the last post. Matt Duffy got hurt and Jeff Samardzija reverted to bad Jeff. Meanwhile, the Giants lost both starts by Madison Bumgarner this week despite 14.1 great innings. All that makes it sound like it was a terrible week, but, no, no it wasn’t! If they can stay healthy. Assuming everything went well for the Giants (health, ...

Part of me wants to write about the positive signs, because there were many this past week: better starts, better offense, better bullpen (until Sunday). Part of my wants to burn AT&T to the ground, because this team should not be allowed to play baseball anymore. And then the bullpen: oh sweet bullpen. ...

Thoughts on the soul and strategy of the San Francisco Giants. Thoughts on Trades Continued… #sfgiants #trades. April 23, 2015. Yesterday I wrote about a few potential Giants’ trade partners based on teams who are off to poor starts. There is one more third basemen worth mentioning. Perhaps the most intriguing possibility at the hot corner for the Giants is Adrian Beltre. The most interesting question is: what would it take to get a Beltre type player? Since the Rangers will still likely be on the hook f...

Thoughts on the soul and strategy of the San Francisco Giants. Tag Archives: Hunter Pence. Week [4] In Review (4/25-5/1) #sfgiants #weekinreview. May 2, 2016. Over the last seven days the Giants won 4 games, all of them started by pitchers named Madison, Johnny, and Jeff. They lost two, started by Jake and Matt. Unfortunately, for the foreseeable future, this is how things look: positivity with the first three pitchers in the rotation taking the hill and closed-eyes/wishful thinking with the last two.

Standing on the Shoulders of GIANTS. Saturday, December 12, 2009. Some Possible Non-Tender Candidates and What about Uggla in Left? This weekend is the final opportunity for teams around MLB to offer players under control contracts. Non-tendered players are released from control and may hit the FA market. This has particular meaning for the Giants. First, current Giant Ryan Garko has not yet been offered a contract. Friday, December 11, 2009. Jason Bay Five Year Deal? How does Gammons know this?
