Tuesday, July 20, 2010. South dakota -day 2. Waking up at circle view ranch. Petting the burros: baby burrito, mama and dusty. Catching grasshoppers-they were everywhere! A little grass snake we came across. Checking out the outhouse. Inside: 2 beds, a table, sofa, wood burning stove and small kitchen. View of the ranch from the homesteader. Look at that view! Ice cream at wall drug. Out back at wall drug-lots of fun stuff for the kids. The clouds were so fluffy! Back to the homesteader.

Friday, August 29, 2008. Well, summer flew by and so did my blogging days, so i will be trying to catch up over the next few days! Henry wanted to celebrate his 6th birthday this year with a baseball party. we had a little cake and ice cream, pinata and baseball game at our house first then headed to see the royals play. these guys did so great at the game (of course we kept the snacks coming the whole time! Sunday, July 18, 2010. Let the roadtrip begin! A stop in mitchell, south dakota for a tour of the corn palace. all of the murals are made from different colored corn cobs and changed annually. Lucy kept asking if corny if he could talk and laughed each time he said "uhuh". Our first view of the badlands. Excited to be out of the car and running! Awesome views from the window trail. Monday, July 7, 2008. This is going to be a long post! We have been having a great summer and exploring lots of fun places in kansas city. One of our favorites is deanna rose farm. The kids loving running through the farmstead checking out all of the animals (goats, pigs, chickens, horses, cows, turkeys, sheep, etc.) riding on mini tractors, cooling off in the new cow barn and learning about native americans in the tepees and dirt house. if you are in kc with kids this is a must visit spot.
