a month of sundays.: June 2012
http://spearsje.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
A month of sundays. Tuesday, June 5, 2012. Healing is a slow process. I wrecked my knee. Perhaps a few times. Which has resulted in an inconclusive doctor’s appointment and walking around like a drunken pirate. And I do a lot of walking around here, giving my co-workers and visiting strangers ample opportunities to point and laugh or ask me what happened. I’ve been bracing. I’ve been icing. I’ve been eating ibuprofen for breakfast. I’d just like it to heal. Now. Or more like yesterday. For your photograp...

See Becky. See Becky Run. Wednesday, June 23, 2010. Whole Truth and Nothing But the Truth WEDNESDAY. The point is. fitness can sometimes suck! Ok, that might not be quite it. the point is. you have to keep going no matter how hard it gets. The point is perseverance. So with that, highs and lows:. High: Someone telling me they've joined the gym because of me. Several people have actually told me this, and it never gets old. I'm happy that my life can be an example to others. 1377 (yep. 130's baby! High: I...

See Becky. See Becky Run. Tuesday, April 12, 2011. Five is the Lonliest Number that You'll Ever Do. I've been stabbed 5x's. What happens when you get stabbed 5x's? Well, if it's not on purpose, hopefully our wonderful EMT's of this world will be able to rescue you from the grips of death. That can't be true! On that note, I will say. to be continued. April 13, 2011 at 10:27 AM. That sounds like it was a crazy adventure! Also, that trash-pile picture is A-MAZING. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Experiential Living: It's all connected
http://amyerichardson.blogspot.com/2011/04/its-all-connected.html
Wednesday, April 27, 2011. Recently, I've been thinking a lot (but probably not enough) about how interconnected life is. That was a seriously vague statement, so here's what I mean: God's command to love Him with everything and to love others should be at the center of all that I do. Here's why this has come up. I encountered people whose lives were, by my standards, filled with misery - poverty, sickness, oppression, abuse. Who were mistreated by any host of authorities - from parents to the govern...

Experiential Living: the USA
http://amyerichardson.blogspot.com/2011/04/usa.html
Monday, April 25, 2011. My initial trip itinerary did not include this jaunt to the midwest (instead, I cleverly planned to arrive back in Boston on the 21st and then immediately head south for a week, therefore prolonging the return to the cold as long as possible), but when I found out my good friend Ryan. It's ok, I got some good warm and sunny time in Southern California. you can see my pictures from that trip and from my 14 hour lay-over in Bangkok, Thailand here. Ha Well, small child, I played on t...

Experiential Living: I have found them...
http://amyerichardson.blogspot.com/2011/04/i-have-found-them.html
Friday, April 8, 2011. I have found them. I have found the most beautiful people on earth. For the past week, I have been helping out at a home for trafficked girls in Kolkata. They, ladies and gentlemen, are hands down the most beautiful people I have ever met. I wish you could meet them, too. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Experiential Living: India got me
http://amyerichardson.blogspot.com/2011/04/india-got-me.html
Tuesday, April 12, 2011. With only 2 days left in India, I have hopes to spend a little more time with the girls in the home and to visit another program working on transitioning women out of prostitution by training them in textiles. Then, it's on to Bangkok, Thailand for a 16 hr layover and then to LA. It's incredible to me that this trip is ending. It's been an eye-opening ride. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Experiential Living: A journey through "God's Own Country" - Kerala and Tamil Nadu, India
http://amyerichardson.blogspot.com/2011/04/journey-through-gods-own-country-kerala.html
Monday, April 4, 2011. A journey through "God's Own Country" - Kerala and Tamil Nadu, India. After Varkala, we took a 2-hour car ride to Keralan Backwaters, where we enjoyed an afternoon houseboat ride. We arrived in Chennai at 7 AM and headed to the Chennai office of IJM (International Justice Mission), where some very hospitable interns got us settled in and fed before we joined them for devotions at the office. If you don't know about IJM, check out the ministry here. And Saturday night we got to witn...
