abby walsh: July 2014
http://abbywalsh.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 6, 2014. I never thought to find you in my madness. Did machines build the roads that connect us? The sidewalks we walk on as we rush through our so-important lives? The buildings we live our lives in? Some people say a man is made out of mud. A poor man's made out of muscle and blood. Muscle and blood and skin and bones. A mind that's weak and a back that's strong. You load sixteen tons what do you get. Another day older and deeper in debt. Saint Peter don't you call me 'cause I can't go.

abby walsh: and the blues came walking like a man
http://abbywalsh.blogspot.com/2015/05/and-blues-came-walking-like-man.html
Friday, May 1, 2015. And the blues came walking like a man. 8220;We revolt simply because, for many reasons, we can no longer breathe.”. Arjuna is overcome with self-doubt about the righteousness of the war against his own kith and kin. He is distraught at the thought of having to fight with his friends and family. It was then that. Took charge and explained the necessity and inevitability of the war to Arjuna.". The mundane is profound too. Repeating cues is valuable. The work is happening insid...Trave...

abby walsh: a selfie made from found objects and reflected light
http://abbywalsh.blogspot.com/2015/05/a-selfie-made-from-found-objects-and.html
Thursday, May 7, 2015. A selfie made from found objects and reflected light. Of course I didn't want to share any of this with anyone. I understood what it means to pray for the first time yesterday. How a yoga practice can be so much more than a battle. It's a song. Its a story that we are constantly rewriting, and for once I get to be the hero, instead of the villain. I think this is what it feels like to be in love. The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain.".

abby walsh: the absence between her thighs
http://abbywalsh.blogspot.com/2015/02/the-new-science-of-happiness.html
Tuesday, February 10, 2015. The absence between her thighs. What would Truth look like if it were embodied in human form? Can Beauty be an experience rather than a reflection? Something sensed rather than seen? My thesis professor told me, after years of intense art classes, that I wasn't a Painter. I was one of the better painters in my graduating class, Illustrators paint things, what was he talking about? By who's standards am I successful or not? How can True feel anything but Right? For these rocks ...

abby walsh: October 2014
http://abbywalsh.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 23, 2014. When meaning shifts, meaninglessness follows. Combusting rage and sexual tension as a power source, blind to everything but conquering inefficiency, filled with steam, purpose. Equal parts fuel and intoxication. Do you even cry? He asked at the bar later. Feet pounding on pavement, my feet. Screaming at the muscular man that just got out of his graffiti covered box truck. Not one of ours. Blocking my trucks. In my way. A cold rage takes over me towards the end. It followed...

abby walsh: let's move slowly to the pulse of the neon golem we sculpted from the bones of this city
http://abbywalsh.blogspot.com/2015/02/lets-move-slowly-to-pulse-of-neon-golem.html
Saturday, February 21, 2015. Let's move slowly to the pulse of the neon golem we sculpted from the bones of this city. That we constantly undervalue and overlook the importance of Time. It might take years to hear our own voice under the clamoring of voices and opinions around us, at us, over us. Especially when you've got no mobility left, mentally or physically? There is no such thing as a free lunch. 8220;Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma...
