Just a little update…Yesterday was our 1st trimester bun screen and the babies are healthy and both measuring on time. We saw them moving around and their little hearts beating around 167 bpm. Is this seriously happening? I’m already feeling less nauseous, less trips to the bathroom, and a little less sleepy? Finally not pregnant (last fertility post). Weird to be excited about that right? But I am. My hcg levels are officially undetectable and that’s a good thing. That means no more poison shots and no surgery. Also, it means we can move on with our life and resume some normalcy. So we did. So that’s all I have for now. Just wanted to pop in and let people know all is well and we are doing just fine. In fact, I have date with this guy soon so how could life not be great? This entry was posted in Fertility.

4 x 5 = 20lbs. Ugh, anyone feel me on this? Every time another round of IVF comes up I cringe. Another 5 pounds to add to my already growing overweight frame. My nurse told me the hormones don’t make you gain weight so that only makes me feel worse. I’ve tried eating healthy, not overeating and exercising throughout the process and when all is said and done it’s another 5 pounds on the scale either way. Because duh, I’m not like everyone else. Our little frog measured right on target at 7w3d, and so we graduated from our infertility clinic and are headed out into the big wide world of OB-land. Two Ladies Making Babies. April 22, 2015. Not much to report. I’m not sure if the 12 months of failed cycles instilled in me a sense of futility about childbearing, or if this is the way all women feel, but this pregnancy still does not feel “real” to me. I find myself expecting things to go wrong, to find out that parenthood is still out of my reach. But then there are random moments where I feel really optimistic. We’re having a baby!
