Why I Chose A Siberian Husky. Tuesday, September 30, 2008. I thought I'd post this video I made awhile ago of Keisha shutting the drawers in the kitchen. She learns things pretty quickly, and sometimes it's hard to keep up with her! I'll make some more videos and add them to this blog when I get a new tripod. The one I have now is broken and I need both hands free when I'm teaching her new things. Saturday, September 6, 2008. Happy 1st Birthday Keisha! It's hard to believe, but Keisha turned 1 today!

Why I Chose A Siberian Husky. Saturday, May 31, 2008. I was sitting here earlier and all of a sudden it started raining. I wasn't expecting it at all, because it was so nice earlier in the day, but I didn't pay too much attention to it because Sophie was sleeping on the couch, and Keisha was asleep in her crate. Whenever the fire alarms go off, she will wait a few minutes and when they don't stop she sits down and howls the most mournful sounding howls you have ever heard! I've come to expect this frome ...

Why I Chose A Siberian Husky. Tuesday, March 11, 2008. New Backpack and Patch. The backpack is the Approach Pack II. It is made by Ruffwear. I have a collapsible bowl from them for Sophie and it is really well made. I’ve had it since Aug. of 2000 and it’s still in great shape! Not an easy thing to accomplish! She layed on the floor eating her treat, and I took a bunch of pictures before taking it off again. There’s a handle on the back of the harness, nad a pulling loop along with an extra loop....

Why I Chose A Siberian Husky. Friday, December 28, 2007. Keisha’s first Christmas. I haven’t written in awhile. Christmas went well. The tree was left standing, and I only had to re-decorate the bottom of it because Keisha runs under it sometimes, and the only ornament that was broken was by me! I don’t think that’s toobad at all! I even decorated the side of the kitchen counter and Keisha didn’t bother it at all! I’ve been very impressed! On Boxing Day my uncle and cousin came to visit. It was the f...

Why I Chose A Siberian Husky. Saturday, September 6, 2008. Happy 1st Birthday Keisha! It's hard to believe, but Keisha turned 1 today! It only seems like a few months ago that we went to pick her up. She's grown so much! She's almost as tall as Sophie now, and you can probably tell from the photo that she's no longer a little puppy. She even has her "big husky howl" now. Her voice has changed and gotten deeper. She has calmed down quite a bit too! It's like she thinks my lap is shrinking! I noticed that ...

Why I Chose A Siberian Husky. Saturday, January 12, 2008. Keisha explores the depths of the dryer. I hope everyone had a happy new year! I haven’t written an update for awhile now because I’ve been so busy! I mentioned last year (that sounds so odd because it was only last month! That I was going to teach Keisha to take clothes out of the dryer. Well, it turns out that she was still a bit too short, but just before I started this entry I managed to “introduce” her to the dryer. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Why I Chose A Siberian Husky. Saturday, August 16, 2008. Explaining Why I Have Two Working Dogs. I was just thinking about how to explain why I have two working dogs to people. Usually if you see a guide dog or service dog they are alone with their handler, not working alongside another guide or servie dog. Is that too confusing? Do you think the way I explained it is too confusing? Do you know a different way that would work? Maybe I should type out something and print some copies off becuase it would g...
