Just another WordPress.com weblog. Visiting Your Home Town. October 28, 2007 in Food. The cache we chose this time was called “Horses, Saratoga Style”. It was inspired by the horse statues around Saratoga Springs. GPS got us into the right area and then David, as he is apt to do, found it in about 10 seconds. He has the best luck! Good for him, but it takes away some of the fun when he finds it that fast! I guess we’ll have to start finding some harder hides. Or I’ll have to go without him.

We decided to do the Albia Pond cache up past Lake Desolation. However, it all turned out alright. The temperature drop wasn’t significant enough that I needed a coat and my Merrils did a good job of keeping my feet dry. I didn’t fall through the snow that much anyway. Just another WordPress.com weblog. November 6, 2007 in Saratoga Springs. After wandering for awhile, we came to a hill that had a lot of large markers – monuments and mausoleums. We walked up the hill and read the names on the monuments, wondering if the families had been influential in founding Saratoga. As we approached one mausoleum I looked up to see that it was Dave’s last name! Oh, and if anyone is curious, the cemetary is Greenridge Cemetary. Comments feed for this article.
