Living the Dream, Farm Style. Thursday, September 30, 2010. You have been slow in arriving. Even today it is supposed to be nearly 80 degrees! The poor leaves are turning brown and falling off of trees, but it's due to the dryness and not the changing of seasons I'm afraid. The summer ended very hot and arid, and every person I know is ready for the cooler weather. I know I say this every year: Fall is my favorite season! We got over 2 weeks ago! Here he is ready for action at a game back on Sept 8th.

Living the Dream, Farm Style. Tuesday, September 20, 2011. A great day for fishing. Was the last Sunday in August, a beautiful sunshine-y day. John took the kids fishing on Cave Run Lake, about an hour from us. It is a pristine lake very similar to Lake Ouachita back home, just a lot smaller. This was Allie's very first ever fishing trip, including her first time on the boat with it NOT being parked on the trailer in the shop! I have a handful of orders that I am working on, and having my craft room moved around with more SPACE, not to mention my serger sewing machine, has made a huge difference! And I uploaded/shared to Snapfish several pictures that I had taken of Allie modeling her new skirt, but never posted here on the blog. She loves it and has literally asked to wear it every single day. This is for an order.

This one cracks me up - I asked Allie to turn around so I could take a picture of her backpack and this is what she did, looks like she is about to be frisked! Living the Dream, Farm Style. Sunday, November 28, 2010. Thanksgiving was a very quiet affair this year. Since we had planned to leave early Friday for snow skiing, we did not plan to cook a big traditional meal. Our menu was roast chicken, mashed sweet potatoes (from our garden), and green bean casserole (had to do something traditional, I couldn't stand it! So we really weren't up for another long road trip. The lobby area, where the clock tower is. Also, Asher lost his second front (top) tooth tonight!
