Man cannot live by great thoughts alone, he must have food. I love to eat and I love to cook and I love to read cookbooks. Science Fiction Books
http://www.bookpoodah.com/science-fiction-books.html
Science Fiction and Fantasy. Dune (Dune Chronicles, Book 1), Frank Herbert. One of the all-time great science fiction books. Book 1, that is. Full of life-style adaptations required to live on an almost waterless world. Dune was made into an annoying movie. I found Book 2 almost unreadable. I've heard that Book 3 is better, almost as good as Book 1. The Mote in God's Eye, Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle. The Gormenghast Trilogy, Mervyn Peake. Benny Goodman to the clarinet? Somebody help me out, here.].

The Miracle Yoda Stump

The Miracle Yoda Stump. He has led a law-abiding, although somewhat disjointed (his word) life in various locales which he declines to identify. I was splitting this big-a* log, must've been three feet long, as gnarly as Yoda over there," he begins his story, "Really havin' a devil of a time - had three wedges and a splittin' maul stuck in it - I'd been at it for about an hour and a half. I was killin' myself," said Peckinpah, sitting down on the Yoda bust. That's where I got the Force! Yeah, man," said ...

What I am about to say may be total nonsense, but this is my page, so what the heck? And thought it a very fine book, indeed. What a s...

Wonderful Books

Not As Important, But Wonderful Reading. King of the Confessors, Thomas Hoving. What's it like to be the head curator for one of the world's greatest art museums? A lot more exciting than you might think. In this book, Hoving recounts a years-long investigation into the authenticity of a medieval artifact of great value. It is just absolutely fascinating! I haven't read the two books below, but I intend to do so, based on my experience with "King of the Confessors". Making the Mummies Dance, Thomas Hoving.
