Friday, February 17, 2012. Lov'n in the Oven. I can't honestly remember the last time I spent time with both of my grandma's at the same time, so it was a pretty special occasion when Grandma Cecil and Grandma Fluhr came over to help us decorate sugar cookies! Keeping up with the heart theme, we first dined on a heart shaped pizza (thank you Barro's) and then it was time to roll out the dough and start cutting out our heart shaped cookies! Tuesday, July 31, 2012. Road Tripp'n Days 6-8. It is so cute with darling houses and a small town feel. We spent the first night exploring their fisherman's wharf and finding hermit crabs on the beach. We also stopped at the Dennis the Menace Park.because, well.why not? Saturday, October 26, 2013. In honor of Laura's 15th birthday we threw her a party! It is amazing how many friends she has made since her arrival! There must have been over 30 teenagers here! I had never thrown a party for a teenager so I wasn't sure what to expect! I had way to much food (duh I forgot that teenage girls don't eat in front of boys) and over planned activities (duh I forgot that kids just sit around and talk! I have been lucky to work in schools that still allow us to dress up and even have a parade (more and more schools are not allowing this tradition :( So my team and I dressed up as the grammar police! It was pouring rain when we arrived, but quickly turned into a beautiful day for hiking and rock climbing (and of course, hammering rocks so they ring). Ella and Brooklyn had no problem climbing over the huge rocks, although there were a few slips and scratched legs. The surprise was our little mountain goat Miss Kendall!
