So, my partner dug up a large yucca plant from our yard, and it occured to me to save the roots. I've also ended up with stems. Right now they are in a basin in the sun. What are your suggestions for preparing them for culinary/medicinal/cosmetic uses? It appears to be Yucca filamentosa.). Post a new comment. Anonymous comments are disabled in this journal. Half a Kilogramme of Well-Crottled Greeps. Where DOES the time go? Oct 27th, 2013 at 5:13 PM. I see it's been something over a year since I posted an update here. Sorry about that. My health is about as good as I could expect, all things considered. The leukemia is what it is, though as one of my doctors points out, CLL is a disease that you die. But not usually one that you die. 8 comments Leave a comment. Oct 27th, 2013 10:36 pm (UTC). Oct 28th, 2013 12:23 am (UTC). And the same to you! Pretty sure it ...

Settling into a new kitchen: kitchen_witch
http://kitchen-witch.livejournal.com/49661.html
Settling into a new kitchen. Dear Kitchen Witches,. My husband and I recently moved and I'm not feeling the new kitchen. Even though it's bigger than the last, it feels more crowded because there's no pantry. The countertops are black formica, which I haven't gotten used to (I'm used to lighter-colored countertops). The list goes on. Various physical details, but perhaps some underlying energetic things as well. What are your personal favorite ways to bless a kitchen and make it your own?

Nettles for respiratory support: herbal
http://herbal.livejournal.com/118052.html
Nettles for respiratory support. My son's respiratory system is weak, he shows signs of environmental allergies, and his breathing at rest is often laboured. I've been told that nettles are excellent for repiratory support, but I'm not sure whether freeze dried nettles in a capsule, or nettle in a glycerine tincture would be more effective. Also, since nettles are a food, I'm wondering what quantity he'd have to consume to gain the therapeutic benefits. Thanks in advance for any insight.

Magical Reads - Spells and Magic

Magical Reads - Spells and Magic. For the witches of today. 12 September 2006 @ 12:42 pm. While I was whiling away a virus this weekend, I happened to randomly pick up and read 2 different fictional books that included fairly useful views of psychic talent, ceremonial and other magic: The Adept. By Kurtz and Turner, and The Inheritor. What useful fiction would you recommend to a student (of magic, paganism, or witchcraft), and why? 1 comment Leave a comment.
