They are also called labrosones, literally meaning "lip-vibrated instruments.". Posted by Jogging in Red Pumps @ 5:39 AM. Jogging in Red Pumps. View my complete profile.

Thursday, March 01, 2007. 1 I would categorize the tuba in the brass family. (Band). 2 There is 1 tuba player in the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and his name is Michael Thornton. http:/ www.cincinnatisymphony.org/home2.asp. 3 The Tuba player tightens their lips and blows to make a sound. This is different from pursing your lips as you would a trumpet. (Band). 4 The tubing used to make a tuba is about 18 inches long. http:/ www.alamomusic.com/what%20you%20should%20know.htm. I love rock and roll. Thursday, January 25, 2007. I would catagorize the French Horn in the Brass insturment family. There are four French Horn players in The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. And their names are; Elizabeth Freimuth, Thomas Sherwood, Gene Berger, and Duane Dugger. Gives high notes, and low lip tension gives low notes. The French Horn's tubing. Is 11 feet long! French Horn players put a mute in the bell of their French Horn and that changes the pitch's sound. Jogging in Red Pumps.

I love rock and roll. Thursday, February 15, 2007. 1o What does the Trombone sound like? Is part of the brass family. The Trombone players in the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. A Trombone player, to produce a note, presses their lips agianst the mouthpiece of their Trombone. This is difforant than how a Trumpet player uses their lips to produce a note because Trumpet players press their lips harder to produce a note. The tubing in a Trombone. Is about nine feet long, including the slide on the insturment.

Thursday, October 26, 2006. The Piccolo and Flute are two different instruments but they have many simularities. They both belong to the woodwind family and they both use a hole where a musician blows through to make the sound. The Italian name for the piccolo is "flauto piccolo", which means small flute.
