Saturday, February 16, 2008. Men's Breakfast a Success. A week ago last Friday (Feb. 8, 2008) men from South Albany, First Assembly and Grace Bible joined the men from North Albany Community Church for a first ever prayer breakfast. Unofficial head count was 64 men. Dan, Denny and Bob got us started with jokes and intros/Mike Silva. Russ turned us into 'passionate' gambling men. Dwight had a very convicting testimony. Gene cooked a great meal. Time well spent. I was truly blessed by this. Ron.

Monday, December 8, 2008. West Albany Repeating Champs. West Albany HS repeats as 5A football champions! In high school sports this is somewhat difficult to accomplish. This year especially for senior quarterback Reese Miller. For just 7 months ago his dad, Greg Miller, died from cancer. This time, he said, he was able to enjoy the moment and is thankful that coach Nyquist gave him a call early Saturday morning to take him and his younger brother, Garrett, to their father's resting place.

Saturday, November 1, 2008. One Word. "Time". Yesterday Dee Duke, pastor at Jefferson Baptist Church. In Jefferson Oregon spoke at our. Men's breakfast. He had many illustrations on how we as Christians can become God's favorites by spending time. With him. This can come through prayer and reading the word. Prayer should be a time. Of 'fellowship' not just presenting God with our needs and requests. Great time in fellowship and prayer. A total of 48 men attended this event. November 7, 2008 at 6:48 AM.

Sunday, April 6, 2008. This afternoon I was in Eugene to listen to a friend that I haven't seen in over 40 years, Joel Burnell. Joel and his wife Renata are with World Venture teaching at the Evangelical School of Theology in Poland. Today Joel talked about Dietrich Bonhoeffer. 1906-1945), a German pastor and scholar, who played a central role in the Confessing Church during the Nazi period.
