It's my pleasure to report that The Door to the Golden Age Age (90"x44", 235x120cm) has been sold by Quidley and Company, along with another large painting, to a new collector. It's true, I did say that I was going to go to Soper's Store, and then CJ reminded me it would be closed on Memorial Day. Monday, January 19, 2015. Well, it's been a long time! I apologize for having been so absent. Many of you now follow me on Instagram, where I post several times a week. I found that writing longer blog posts was occupying a lot of time and so I've mostly appeared on IG (@donaldjurney) as a way of keeping up. Since I last wrote, we had a very successful workshop in Holland, followed by a a great one in Toronto. Students made a lot of progress, and I was pleased with the classes. And one from Canada:.

Monday, November 26, 2012. While putting together material for the upcoming blog post about the French Workshop (24-30 June 2013) I was looking through some drawings from the area where we'll be. When I make sketchbook drawings such as these, I often treat different parts of the drawing in different ways.
