Sunday, May 31, 2015. HE ROLLS THE OTHER WAY! Eli finally rolled from his back to his belly yesterday! 5 months old exactly! I didn't actually see it, but I put him down on his back and came back to find him on his belly. And since Shade was at school, Kellen was at work, and Olive was napping, I am pretty sure he did it himself :). I have yet to capture that on video, but he has done it several times since then. Sunday, September 28, 2014. LAST CAMPING TRIP OF THE YEAR. The last weekend of September was forecasting some great weather, sunny and warm, so we decided to take advantage of it and go camping one last time before it got too cold. Sunday, May 10, 2015. So for Mother's Day this year, Kellen made me a nice breakfast and awesome steak dinner. The kids let me sleep most of the day (like I said, I had worked the night before), and Shade made me an awesome coupon book which I used one that night to not have to clean off the table after dinner. Saturday, August 30, 2014. MYRTLE BEACH, SOUTH CAROLINA. Of course it was a long drive, so we broke it up. We drove down Friday night after Kellen got off work, slept for a few hours (in the car), then got up and went to the Mammoth Caves in Kentucky. We went on a 2-hour tour. It was amazing. They said so far they have found over 400 miles of underground caves all connected! But he finally settled on a Jurassic Park themed one. It was pretty fun, and we each got a hole-in-one! Tuesday, December 30, 2014. ELI PART II (KELLEN'S TAKE). A Fathers Impression of Eli’s birth. Finally, we had a C-Section scheduled for December 30. 2015 The “official” due date was two days later, on January 1. I told Kathy that there had better not be any delays because if the birth was moved into the New Year, we would miss out on the $1,000 tax credit. Wednesday, March 25, 2015. 14 lbs, 8 oz. = 69.5%. 255 in. = 97.5%. 165 in. = 92.7%. So his weight is starting to even out a bit for his size, and his body is catching up to his head size. But looks like he is still on the tall side, which is good, because Shade is definitely going to be tall. Things Eli has figured out. He likes to "run" in the bouncy chair like the other kids did. Tuesday, February 17, 2015. Shade had two days off from school this week for "winter" break. I didn't want to be cramped up in the house for 2 days with all 3 kids, so we decided to try and go out and have fun even though it was freezing cold. Outside (the high was 9 degrees and cloudy on Monday, and 20 degrees on Tuesday with snow). And then, on the drive to Jungle Java, Shade started getting philosophical (he often will ask some pretty deep questions for a little kid, like who was God's father, etc)...

Wednesday, May 20, 2015. MICHIGAN SPRING, GEORGIA. Of course in Michigan, that means a lot of back and forth with the weather. One day it will be 80 degrees, the next day 50 degrees. It is not safe to pack away coats until it is officially summer sometime in June. Things I am going to miss about Michigan.
