Wednesday, February 17, 2010. Metra Taking Over @metradelays and the Rest of the Twitter Delay Feeds. I set up the @metradelays. Service on Twitter a year ago to help commuters keep track of their train lines. The service received an overwhelmingly positive response and collected more than 1,000 followers across all lines. Better access to transit data was clearly a common need. Here's hoping Metra builds us a great service! Posted by Tony Zale. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Chicago, IL, USA.

T.Z.: Metra-Twitter Service Now Running on Google App Engine
http://tonyzale.blogspot.com/2009/04/metra-twitter-service-now-running-on.html
Saturday, April 18, 2009. Metra-Twitter Service Now Running on Google App Engine. When I first put together my Metra delay service on Twitter, I didn't think it would see a wide audience; I expected myself and maybe a few friends to take advantage of it. I certainly didn't foresee the media attention the feeds generated:. CBS2 Chicago Evening News. NBC Chicago Evening News. In an effort to make the service more robust, I decided to port to. Posted by Tony Zale. April 23, 2009 at 9:25 PM. Yes, that's wher...

After 26 years of tongue numbness post pineapple/kiwi consumption, I've finally learned what the cause is. Protease. Apparently, my tongue was getting tenderized by something called bromelain. In pineapples and actinidain. In kiwis. The funny thing is, there is also something called papain. In papayas and ficin. In figs that does nothing to me. I still don't understand why I'm more sensitive to pineapples and kiwis than other people or why it's getting worse as I'm getting older. Mommy and me time. A pow...

Restaurant #1 - 6:00pm. No, it's not monkey brains. It's yummy yummy beef sashimi. Restaurant # 2 - 8:00pm. Soju time. Cherry and JLo looking good. Randy, Lam and San. The capacity or power of Jeff Lo to be a compelling force on or produce effects of evil on the actions, behavior, opinions, etc., of others. (Cherry is pointing out the hidden horns.). Restaurant #3 - 10:00pm. Japanese tapas and garlic. If only I could eat a plateful of amaebi everyday. Seattle Fourth of July. Dusk Time for sparklers!

LA Visit: Family and Disneyland. Last weekend, Kevin and I drove down to LA to visit some family and friends. It's been awhile since I've seen Maddie and my gosh, she's grown! Lilian is reading to the two little ones. Rachel Ann being the big sis. Maddie's first swing ride! And then it was off to Disneyland! Kevin and I have a deal: He'll go to Disneyland with me, I'll go camping with him. Not sure if I made out well in this deal. San in princess mouse ears. Woooo Donald Peking Duck! U r so ghetto now.

Latest pictures of world's cutest niece. The last two weeks have been difficult. My own personal relationship issues compounded by family issues and a friend's dying cat. Yesterday was especially tough. It was my first time actually being at the vet while an animal was being put down. With so much out of our control, we often forget the importance of the paths we choose to take. In the end, we all arrive at the same destination. It's our choices in the journey that defines us. At 8 pounds per liter glass, this woman is really strong. Apparently, the record is 21 glasses. I can barely hold up one. It's me in a dirndl! Spaten tent: Ochsenbraterei (Ox tent). Hofbrau tent: Hofbräu Festhalle. Me and Fred, the keeper of our VIP box in Schottenhamel. This man showed no mercy to those trying to weasel their way in. What's Germany without a soccer game at Allianz Arena? Cute little Spaten truck at the brewery. Spaten horses getting ready for the parade. Take my advice, drink Spaten.

Every now and then someone says something that taken in context, isn't remotely funny. I feel like an immature schoolboy, snickering in the back of the classroom as the teacher's fly is unzippped once again after returning from the restroom and his hands are curiously dry. But whatever, here's the quote of the day. I'm waiting for a really good dump.". Just did a quick and dirty Spanish tasting. One bottle stood out. Bodegas Pirineos Marbore Somontano 2002. Rioja Vega Crianza 2003 was also not bad. Food ...
