Being is Bewildering: June 2005
http://beingisbewildering.blogspot.com/2005_06_01_archive.html
We live in strange times. I live in quite dull times - allow me to share. Friday, June 10, 2005. Bit different, this post. I'm not going to talk about my love life, because as of wednesday night that just confuses me. I'll try and disentangle the pieces later today, and find out what's going on in a certain person's head. Anyway, consumer choice! At the moment, this is the dance we have to go through offering customers 'choices'. Customer: Can I get a vodka and coke please? Wedge of lemon or lime? A Scot...

We live in strange times. I live in quite dull times - allow me to share. Saturday, May 28, 2005. Reasons to be cheerful:. I never have to subject another unsuspecting member of the campus community to a ringtone just behind their head and then ask them what they thought of it. Things which are not quite so good:. I need to have a project draft in on Monday, and it's not really been started yet. Right, veggie fry-up brekkie [no weetabix] and then work, work work! Posted by David @ 1:10 pm 0 Comments.

We live in strange times. I live in quite dull times - allow me to share. Friday, June 30, 2006. Please sir, can I have some more work? Finally I got everything we needed for the bid, after I'd pointed out the rather odd requirements regarding un-audited accounts. I set off to the Post Office clutching my precious package. I got it guaranteed to arrive by saturday afternoon for the monday deadline, and then started ambling homewards. What then happened was a sequence of events worthy of Frank Spencer.

Being is Bewildering: March 2005

We live in strange times. I live in quite dull times - allow me to share. Thursday, March 24, 2005. Well, in less than 24 hours I shall have left sunny York for the glories of Watford. Oh yes. Will not work on evil nuclear world domination plans unless the price is right. London Area.) Maybe buying a new EF 28-105 f/3.5-4.5 USM MkII. On Monday wasn't such a hot idea. But it's very nice. Just need to get out and enjoy it now. I guess if I don't load any film, it'll keep things cheap. Um, third cheerful th...

Being is Bewildering: The story of The Hat. Part 2: Foundations
http://beingisbewildering.blogspot.com/2008/12/story-of-hat-part-2-foundations.html
We live in strange times. I live in quite dull times - allow me to share. Saturday, December 27, 2008. The story of The Hat. Part 2: Foundations. With my tree purchased, I skipped home and proceeded to decorate it. Two and a half feet in height, it looked splendid wrapped in lights with baubles tied to it. Unfortunately that was the easy part. I now had to attach it to my head. On the upside, it would bring my total height to just over eight feet. But how to mount it on my head? Two days before the party:.

Being is Bewildering: July 2006
http://beingisbewildering.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_archive.html
We live in strange times. I live in quite dull times - allow me to share. Monday, July 31, 2006. An oddly quiet night and formal announcement. After all the trepidation yesterday over the possibility of a busy night at the under 18's shindig, it was an oddly quiet evening. Only came into contact with four of the little dears, and only treated one. We didn't even have a drunk vomiter, when we would normally expect three or more. Anyway, I should get to bed, I've got the office to myself tomorrow, and need...

We live in strange times. I live in quite dull times - allow me to share. Thursday, March 23, 2006. I am so ashamed. I set out with such good intentions. I would look after it, feed it regularly, groom and generally keep it in top condition. But I failed. Neglected it, almost forgot I had it. Yes, non-existent readers, I left this blog to its own devices. Unloved, a few people added comments in my absence, but I didn't even visit, let alone add a post. So many bloggable events. Being is Bewildering: Topical Humour
http://beingisbewildering.blogspot.com/2008/09/topical-humour.html
We live in strange times. I live in quite dull times - allow me to share. Monday, September 29, 2008. This morning, Great Ormond Street Hospital in London had a fire. Fortunately, all the kids got out fine, and there were no serious injuries. I work near GOSH, and wandered in that direction on my lunch break. The fire was well out by 2pm, with just 3 appliances and a couple of London Fire Brigade vans giving any indication that it wasn't business as usual. This is a Smoke Free hospital. Watford, Herts, GB.

We live in strange times. I live in quite dull times - allow me to share. Tuesday, October 21, 2008. I stayed a bit late at work this evening to get some database work done in peace and quiet., No ringing phones, no colleagues, just me, an import file and Raiser's Edge. And Annie Mac's special drum and bass edition of The Mash Up on the BBC iplayer. I'm really sorry to trouble you like this, but I was just wondering do you have any change for the phone? I've got a pound, but I need 40p. Sorry mate, I've ...
