A place to share the stoke and wave wanderings of Harbour Surfboard owners. Thursday, March 11, 2010. Two events coming up, Book Signing and Board Swap! But we may have some rainy days before then so before we all hit the Board Swap to trade our boards, we'll need something to get through those rainy dawn patrols. "The Harbour Chronicles Book" should do nicely. Hope to see you all at the upcoming events! With Shayn...

Harbour Owners Society: "Todd's sleeping in..."

A place to share the stoke and wave wanderings of Harbour Surfboard owners. Monday, July 5, 2010. Todd's sleeping in.". Happy 4th of July to all, it was an epic day after the 4th this year at the secret spot at Bolsa. Surely he'd not miss this day, big wave weekday and he didn't have to work? Luckily I needn't stress long, for soon Doug pulled in and as we watched a few medium waves roll in with Tava surfing them alone, we decided to hurry into the water, "Where's Todd? Doug asked as we rushed to change.

A Photographer's Journal. April 22, 2010. Pu’uhonua O Honaunau. The skill of the Hawaiian woodcarvers is certainly the equal to any of the Northwest’s Native American tribes. That said, I’m not so sure I’d want to stumble out of that hut some stormy night and face this bunch! Nikon D300, Nikkor 50mm f1.4 shot at f11 1/125 sec. Laquo; Big Island Life. A Home In Laguna. A Photographer's Journal. April 19, 2010. I had the extreme good fortune to spend last week on the Big Island of Hawaii. I brought home images of both Hawaiian architecture and artifacts. Here’s one I like as it contains a bit of both. I shot it with a D300 and 18-200 “super” zoom. I think it was f11 at 1/60 sec at about 20mm. By the way, thank you to the technology geeks who brought us vibration reduction lenses. It helped a lot here. April 10, 2010. Meanwhile, back at the Ranch. April 8, 2010. A little...

A place to share the stoke and wave wanderings of Harbour Surfboard owners. Friday, January 29, 2010. Do I dare to surf this Beach? A little poetry from Wavedancer. Do I dare to surf this beach? Do I dare to eat a peach? A man’s grasp should exceed his reach. But waves aren’t gentle when they teach. But waves aren’t gentle when they teach. Do I dare to surf this beach? The outer break seems out of reach. Huge swells progressing each-to-each. Lips crack white thunder on the reef. Possibly a real mistake.
