Monday, April 29, 2013. I'm a little late posting our New Years Eve pics. 118, to be exact. It was a cold, rainy night and we decided to nix our plans to go South for the freaky puppet parade and stay home and enjoy a "dinner of appetizers", watch the ball drop together, and shoot off some fireworks. The kids were so excited for their candlelit meal. Some of their favorites were served: Cocktail Meatballs, Mexican Spinach Dip w/chips, fruits/veggies, and bubbly. And there was likely saliva on the cake.

Tuesday, June 17, 2014. There are Amusement Parks.attractions, rides, food stands, and shows.all sprawling over massive acreage - - - and then, there is the Route 66 Carousel Park. I call it an "Amusement Lot". Your child could pass gas at one end of the lot - - and you could still smell it on the other side. I speak from experience. True story. It is as Backwoods as it gets. Tuesday, September 3, 2013. Summer Bucket List: Hunt for Crawdads. Word on the creek was that local children had it on their Bucket List to hunt them down. The crawdads were shaking in their shells. In their world, this was the equivalent of an alien invasion. Captured. Prodded. Examined. Photographed. And hopefully. returned. The little aliens gathered their nets and the hunt was on. The alien's dog even joined in the hunt. Some tried to escape.but their efforts were futile. They RAN for their lives.

Tuesday, August 20, 2013. Summer bucket List: Pontoon Boat. One day this Summer, we enjoyed a weeknight out on a Pontoon boat. We packed dinner in the cooler and loaded up on the boat to enjoy. A nice evening on the lake. There were a few clouds in the sky, but nothing ominous. The kids and I were relieved that we didn't have a repeat of our boating fiasco on Table Rock Lake when Tom tried to back a speed boat from the dock. That. Was an adventure. The rain didn't stop us from having fun. And I LOVE him.
