Friday, March 30, 2007. This past week was soooo crazy busy, filled with tons of shopping. it completely pooped out Eli. Ladies on the Town. While Becky was here visiting from Vancouver, we had to do a ladies night out! So we hit a great little martini lounge and did some booty shakin' afterwards. It was a fun and memorable night. Today I was startled to read in the Edmonton Journal that one of my favorite Chinese food kiosks in West Edmonton Mall had been fined $12000 for sanitation and cockroach problems. The article describes a scene of food being stored on the floor, raw meat soaking in stagnant water and cockroaches scurrying around the kitchen. Where is Chief Ramsey and one of his profanity filled tyraids when we need him! I guess I'll be eating more Greek and Italian food ...

A View from The Point. Friday, August 29, 2008. Barak Obama's Big Night. Last night, I along with millions of others watched the Democratic National Convention in Denver Colorado. It was certainly an historic night. 85,000 people crammed the outdoor stadium to attend the event and the overhead TV shots conveyed the epic nature of the crowd. It must have been an overwhelming event to be at. Here's a commentary for you: today, the Edmonton Journal carried the story on the front page. And will they care?
