If you got here by searching for Marcia Martin's Donna Parker books, I apologize for this detour. My name really is Donna Parker, and like the fictional one I was born in Summerfield. Unlike her, I married into the name and my Summerfield is a tiny, almost deserted village in the Ozarks. Who makes up this stuff? Donna Hutchison Parker was born at Grandma's house in the rural Missouri Ozarks during an ice storm. Despite some circumstantial evidence to the contrary, she did not grow up in the 1800s. She did grow up with a close-knit family and twin younger brothers who aided and abetted her imagination.
