His family suffered also.his wife and his children suffered from his behavior. My father watched his sister die in a fire when he was 6 yrs old and she was 4. He was blamed for this and was banished from his home. My father's mother died when he was 9 months old from the Spanish Flu influenza. She had 8 other children. My father could make a sailor blush with his cussing.

These fights continued until my father died after a long illness. My mother was out on her own at the age of 14. She was a telephone operator. She had an apartment and took care of her younger sister. My mother still mows her lawn and takes care of every inch of her house with pride. She is 76 yrs of age.
