Chris and Laura RTW Trip. The best advice I got on packing was, “Don’t take that. Don’t take that either.” Wanting to be prepared for every situation, I promptly ignored this advice. When I got to the airport my bag and carry on weighed 37 pounds. So I stuffed a few more things in Chris’ bag and tossed some other things out. This leaves me with:. 1 pair of chacos. 1 pair of running shoes. 2 long sleeved shirts. 1 pair of running shoes. 1 pair of hiking shorts (with lots of pockets). 4 pairs of socks.

Chris and Laura RTW Trip. Our budget consists of four categories: lodging, transportation, food, and activities. It is incredibly tedious to keep track of how much money you spend on food each day. But, in order to track our budget, we have kept records of how much we spend each day on lodging and transportation. Chris and Laura RTW Trip. Travel dates: 6.30.08- 10.25.08. If you tell someone in the US that you’re traveling to Africa, they are generally intrigued and apprehensive at the same time. Aren’t there children walking around with AK 47s? Aren’t there strange rare diseases? What about the wars? As for our health, the travelers diarrhea that plagued us in Latin America was gone during our African travels. I think people forget that strange and rare diseases are strange and RARE. Liam's war wounds (3 days later) from his run-in with a KANGAROO! The countdown to Julia's 3rd birthday is upon us. Halloween is kind of a non-event around here. A lot of kids are getting more interested in the holiday (probably because of all the American shows on TV), but nobody really decorates their houses and the grocery store is the only place to get a carving pumpkin ($20 for a very small one that rotted in 2 days!
