Thursday, August 6, 2015. My dad has battled cancer in one form or another for about 10 years. In June, he started chemo to hopefully knock it back down again. After dealing with all the unpleasantness of chemo, the doctor told him that it had made the cancer cells more aggressive, instead of killing them off. Two weeks later, August 1st, he died. In many ways, they couldn't have been more different. But I loved them both, and they both loved me. That's all that really matters. August 6, 2015 at 10:21 PM.

Monday, February 9, 2015. One of the things I can still do is shop. I must confess that I fell victim to a pretty good ad. The upshot was my purchase of a security system for the house. I say security system, but it's really as safety system for the whole house. The three biggest selling points are that it is completely wireless, easy to install yourself, and the fee for monitoring the system is very reasonable. The system comes from SimpliSafe.com and Amanda and couldnt be happier. Check it out here.

Because it's already happened in restaurants, movie theaters, and most recently, at a Broadway show.
