Monday, January 11, 2010. Much better today. I'd give myself a solid 8.5 out of 10 in all areas (food, stress, working out) but a 4 in sleep. Ugh. I laid down late last night and after watching the tv. Series Sons of Anarchy, I just couldn't fall asleep. Other than that, I did some DLs. And presses today. Thursday, January 28, 2010. This time it was for the deadlift and bench press. Deadlift PR is now 225#, bench is now 95#. Pretty damn proud of these. And to think that I was stalled at 165 for the longest time. Somehow within the last two weeks I have went from a supposed PR of 165 to now 225#. Sixty whole pounds. Where did this come from? Monday, March 9, 2009. First week of March.already? So I figured I would fill you in - if anyone really reads this. It was my first official week of tri training and what a great week of weather we had for it (minus the snow VA got last Monday). Friday - Sunday we had temps up to 80. Keep in mind it's March and I live in northern Virginia. Woo-hoo to that! Sunday, January 10, 2010. So today began the Paleo Challenge. Here's how it went:. Breakfast - Garden Egg White Scramble (AMAZING! Time consuming in that you have to chop everything up, but so good! Drank a small glass of milk. Snack - Protein Shake with strawberry powder (this crap is nasty), madarin oranges and pineapple. Lunch - Moms garden beans with a little cheese, roast beef au jus. Also good. Had a glass of Juicy Juice. Full of sugar.I know. Snack - Prosciutto and a few small slices of cheese.

Monday, October 19, 2009. I had a great bike ride on Saturday, pedling 52 miles in 2:38. Traffice slowed me down some and I climbed about 2300 feet of elevation. I should be hitting 70-75 rides in a few weeks with regularity. I enjoy the training. It just is something hard to describe.it feels like a real weird day when I don't get a really great workout in. Wednesday, November 18, 2009. Well I just couldn't sit still. Not for very long anyway. I did take about a week to ten days off and it was both enjoyable and awful. I was so antsy and anxious to get on the bike or take a run I was starting to pester those around me. Well that's true. In short bursts I can generate a tremendous amount of energy and force. But over an extended period of time it takes a lot more energy for me to move 194 lbs over a given distance than a person weighing 160 lbs.

Saturday, September 26, 2009. I would like to weigh in the 180 pound region when I begin serious competition in March. That will be tough to do as I have not seen that weight since Ronald Reagan was President. It will take disciplined nutrition as I must eat enough of the good food to be able to do these big volume workouts and stay away from hi caloric low nutrition foods, you know, the good stuff. Thursday, January 14, 2010. Why do I do this? On Tuesday I did my bike ride and my legs were a bit tired so of course on Wednesday I had an eight mile tempo run to do, and I accomplished that. This morning I could barely walk to the bathroom. With alarmed looks on their faces. It just takes a few strides for everything to loosen up and I quit moving like I'm eighty or something,.
