http://anaslua2.blogspot.com/2015/05/the-frame-crochet-roses-and-basket.html
I feel a needle in my hands is so calming. Vor 148 Jahren: Gestern war ich in einer Gesellschaft, da waren unter fünf Damen drei katholische, welche mit Erlaubnis des Papstes auch sonntags sticken. Stitching Lady: Two days of rain
http://anaslua2.blogspot.com/2015/05/two-days-of-rain.html
I feel a needle in my hands is so calming. Vor 148 Jahren: Gestern war ich in einer Gesellschaft, da waren unter fünf Damen drei katholische, welche mit Erlaubnis des Papstes auch sonntags sticken. Two days of rain. And the meadow look like this. Two more days and it is gone again. And turning around I saw this. I love the colours of this bush. This is our Spiraea and the rusted fence. Compliment for good piano performance of grandson no. 2. A very little quilt - a bit bigger than a postcard. Karen ruane...

http://www.sewslowly.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 22 July 2015. Two Hungry Birds: done and dusted. Yup, it's done: my second finish of the year. Of course it is raining, so I can't get outside to take a really good picture, but have clambered around inside doing my best (chairs, balanced on chairs - don't try this at home! This one is not as big as some of my recent ones, measuring around 58" x 74". I used Hobbs Tuscany Wool wadding, quilted with no. 8 perle and bound with one of the Carolyn Friedlander Doe fabrics. Sew Slowly: Want to improv?
http://www.sewslowly.com/2015/08/want-to-improv.html
Friday, 7 August 2015. Back at the beginning of the year I posted my first ever bee block and commented in passing that I wished there was a bee for improv quilters. This prompted Ann of. To suggest to me that we should consider starting something together. I have noticed recently that improv projects seem to be popping up all over the place. Of course some people work like that all the time but I think maybe some of the recent books on the subject (. Sujata Shah's Cultural Fusion Quilts. For example, and.

Sew Slowly: February 2015
http://www.sewslowly.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, 28 February 2015. Five minutes during a walk at Clumber Park. A National Trust property in north Nottinghamshire. Monday, 23 February 2015. More sewing with my sister. There is quite a lot of handstitching to do in finishing this, so I'm going to get that done and then post the whole thing (though sadly I'm away for a couple of days now and only enough packing space for little things, not great big ones! Sunday, 22 February 2015. Sewing with my sister. Thursday, 19 February 2015. The day had to...

Sew Slowly: Brick by brick, stone by stone
http://www.sewslowly.com/2015/08/brick-by-brick-stone-by-stone.html
Wednesday, 12 August 2015. Brick by brick, stone by stone. My wall is growing. I started out trying to work outwards from the section I had sewn together on Monday. I liked this but kept getting stuck - going so far and no further, so decided to go back to making little chunks which I can put together further along the line. I got this. Yvonne @ Quilting Jetgirl. August 12, 2015 3:05 pm. It is obvious the quilt is really starting to speak to you; the progress is looking great. August 12, 2015 3:22 pm.

Sew Slowly: March 2015
http://www.sewslowly.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, 29 March 2015. A quick peek at Little Elephant,. Not much achieved this week, or not in hand stitching terms. One of the downsides of working on lots of things at once is that I may have done quite a bit, but if the effort is spread around several projects, none of them seem to have progressed that much. I'm not sure this way of working suits me, but am sticking with it for now and will try not to whinge! Anyway, here's an update on Little Elephant. This is how much I've done. Back to the wall.

Sew Slowly: May 2015
http://www.sewslowly.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, 31 May 2015. A view from the back. I am quilting today, so thought I'd share a peek at the back of Two Hungry Birds. I'm quilting around the birds on the front, but really like the shapes that this is making on the back. Saturday, 30 May 2015. In the greenhouse today. Wednesday, 27 May 2015. Not quite sure why, this second wall piece isn't keen to get underway. In fact I'm going nowhere fast. I don't mind a day or two (or more) of pondering but this time it feels like I need a jump-start. In my l...

Sew Slowly: August 2015
http://www.sewslowly.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, 30 August 2015. Filling in the blanks. Saturday, 29 August 2015. The last days of summer. Wednesday, 26 August 2015. I am not a robot. And if I were, I wouldn't have a stupid dodgy leg that hurts when I sit down to the sewing machine for more than 5 minutes at a time. Luckily I am waiting for the cavalry to arrive with my extra fabric, so I can take things a bit slower than I would otherwise want to. I have sewn together some of my bits but now am going to pause until the post delivers. Interesti...
