Dore and Rees auction sale rooms. Were established at Vicarage Street in 1868, and to this day, play host to fortnightly auctions. The sale rooms are contained within a large Gothic style building that resembles a former chapel from the exterior. Exposed structural roof beams on two floors provide a prominent visual feature to visiting clients. Since 1984 the present owner, Mark Rees. Passing under the hammer, at the rate of around 130 lots per hour. Refreshments are available throughout the auction.

Mondays and Tuesdays (except bank holidays) prior to sale from 9.00am to 6.00pm, and Wednesdays (sale day) - the morning of the sale. Unless otherwise advised, auctions are held every fortnight on Wednesdays. Auctions start at 10:30am and continue throughout the day until the registered lots have come under the hammer.
