Wednesday, October 15, 2014. Spring and summer, the leaves stand back and let the flowers come forward to center stage. In Autumn it's the leaves turn to shine.only the leaves. Links to this post. Thursday, October 02, 2014. The Space between Summer and Autumn. The small space between the last days of summer and Autumn have. Beckoned me to linger longer when I'm outside doing chores. Feeling the last warm days and smelling the dry leafy air as I hang laundry. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Quiet Beauty: Love Flowing
http://ramonafelse.blogspot.com/2015/03/love-flowing.html
Wednesday, March 18, 2015. She who loves the Garden Painting on Tin. I haven't been here much but I've been painting all the while. This new painting on sheet metal was inspired by, partly from a need for flowers, (the winter has been a long and cold one), and the beauty that flows from the love of nature into the heart and soul of the one who loves. In other words, when we love we become lovely. I was thinking of you today - I figured you must be working on your art. A lovely painting! Pull up a chair.

Wednesday, January 21, 2015. Birch Panel Painting and the Reoccurring Bear. I received three new birchwood panels to paint. This is something new for me and I'm always excited to work with new materials. The drawing above was my inspiration for the painting. I first sketch my idea in pencil and fill it in with washes of Acrylic paint. Next I added a soft green border with snowflakes surrounding the image. Lately I've had a black bear theme, (see this post. Original sketch of bear for sheet metal painting,.

I'm spending more time in the garden now, for. The wheel is turning and I can already feel the cooler times ahead. Borage, Pansies and Bumblebees are part of the rhythm of the day. The light is changing and colors are softer. This is the garden:colours come and go,. Frail azures fluttering from night's outer wing.

Quiet Beauty: The first day of Spring makes a Dramatic Entrance
http://ramonafelse.blogspot.com/2015/03/the-first-day-of-spring-makes-dramatic.html
Friday, March 20, 2015. The first day of Spring makes a Dramatic Entrance. I quickly went outside to the bird and gently picked it up and held it in my lap to warm it. Such a beautiful and magnificent bird. After awhile I put it in a covered basket in a safe and warm place in the house to let it recover. We cannot always help our animal friends but when given the opportunity it is the right thing to do. Happy first day of spring everyone! Glad all went well! So lovely that you cared tenderly for it.

Quiet Beauty: Kolachkys this Winter
http://ramonafelse.blogspot.com/2015/01/kolachkys-this-winter.html
Sunday, January 11, 2015. In the cold months I like to heat up the stove and bake something delicious. This year the wonderful smells in the kitchen came from my Grandmother's recipe for Kolachkys. Having not made these in a few years it was a special treat that brought my long departed relatives close. A little cherry, plum or poppyseed jam in the center is the finishing touch for these wonderful and homey old world treats. My art-teacher once said: Cooking - the art to survive!
