The added twist to heighten this adventure was to provide only black and white images; that would magically be transformed into beautiful renditions of the story being told. I look forward to seeing your finished quilts! For this quilt along, I've decided ...

Arrange whatever pieces come your way. Virginia Woolf. Friday, April 25, 2014. A Final View of QAL Project. APPLIQUE MYSTERY QUILT ALONG - NINE-PATCH. As shown: 25 1/2" x 25 1/2" square). With everyone having a choice of at least four different pieced blocks and using their own fabric colors for their applique designs; one can see that each quilt would be totally unique. http://quiltsamplerjournal.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Arrange whatever pieces come your way. Virginia Woolf. Friday, February 13, 2015. Change is Good, Right? The anticipated 2015 Applique Mystery Quilt. Is no where to be found! Last time I checked, it was still nicely stored up in my imagination; and it has not progressed past the initial stage that it was in from last year. Too little and life can be boring; however, too much of it and stuff can really get in the way of creative progress. Anyways, that's how it feels to me. MY GOALS FOR THESE BLOCKS.

Quilting in Ionia, Micgigan. Thursday, June 30, 2011. Baby Lock Ellisimo machine embroidery. My Mom tells of the time that my Aunt Marg made Barbie doll clothes (bridal gowns included) for my sisters and me. When my Mom suggested to Aunt Marg that she make Barbie clothes and sell them, Aunt Marg told her that there wasn't anyone that would pay what the clothes were worth. They were a "labor of love".
