Oman Susan: October 2007
http://omansusan.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
My adventures from across the world. Wednesday, October 17, 2007. Vol 53 Day 6 Selcuk. After an excellent sleep I joined my fellow travelers on the terrace of the pension for a delicious breakfast where I met Simca, from Holland. Simca is a lovley woman, probably somewhere in her sixties. She was planning to go to Osman's carpet shop to finalize selecting a carpet so I asked to tag along. I had decided it would be best to avoid Dervis for the day since he was getting so clingy. Posted by Oman Susan.

My adventures from across the world. Friday, November 30, 2007. Vol 63 Day 15 Bhalil/Sefrou. Knowing that I am not Muslim and not accustomed to fasting, Rabha made me a nice breakfast of cheese, bread and cakes, served with Moroccan tea. I discovered Moroccan tea shortly after I met Mahfoodth, here in Oman. It is green tea with fresh mint and sugar. And it is yummy. And it is even yummier in Morocco than it is in Oman. Rabha was shy at first, keeping her head down whenever I took a photo. They do all...

The living room was always filled with women. The lady in the middle is the henna artist. She was so good! Here's the first cousin done. Detail of palm side. And the back side. Back side. So pretty. Friday, February 22, 2008. We went snowshoe-ing and cross-country skiing on Saturday. My friend Francesca took these great pictures. I have wanted to try the cross-country skiing for years but Aaron bought a pair of snow shoes last year so he and Kiersten snow-shoed. My company sponsored an outing for employees and their families. We had alot of fun. I seemed to spend alot of time falling down and getting up (I thought that just happened with the downhill skiing! Friday, February 22, 2008. These - to str...

Sunday, December 30, 2007. Not What You've Been Waiting For. Obviously right now these are more thoughts than goals. This is a bit of what's been on my mind though. It's hard to decide what is the most important and will make the greatest impact. I don't feel like the things I'm considering are unattainable and believe that implementing them will be so beneficial. I will work on cementing the goals and check back. Did I mention that I also want to try to blog on regular basis? Sunday, December 30, 2007.

Sunday, January 18, 2009. This night I ponder. Eyes and heart open. Anxious - but hopeful. Gone these many years. A Dream still alive. Today in the hearts. No longer in a dream. The Ruthful Truth: August 2008

Tuesday, August 26, 2008. We Reap What We Sow. To next year. Aaron would like to expand to include a few other plants. We'd also like to do some fruit and I would like to do some flowers and herbs. I think that our planting may also branch out into some of the beds that we have both in the back yard and also in the front. This is our lovely Swiss Chard. I discovered how wonderful it was just after Eli was born. When you spend $2 a bunch at the grocery store - growing your own is definitely. Our tomatoes ...

Friday, March 6, 2009. I cut the hairs! And from the front! The front is longer, as you can tell, but the hair in the back is right at the nape of my neck. I'm curious to see what happens when it's curly! March 6, 2009 at 6:15 PM. Love it Love it Love it! March 6, 2009 at 9:25 PM. March 7, 2009 at 8:01 AM. March 8, 2009 at 8:50 PM. I can see why one would fantasize about this haircut. A cut like that is enough to inspire me to get my hair cut. You are lovely. March 8, 2009 at 9:43 PM.
