Meet the artist behind Double-D-Art. Double-D-Art is my artist name which I, Désirée Dekkers, use to sign my pastelpaintings. My passion is to paint and draw with the versitile medium pastel. Painting with pastel is a special technique and for me it is the way to express my creativity. Soft) Pastel consits of 3 components:. The balance between the pigment, chalk and gum makes the pastel softer or harder. If more pigment is added, the pastel gets softer. It gets harder when more chalk and gum are added to the pastel. Therefore each hardness of pastel has its own qualities and applications. Different kinds of Pastel:. There are different kinds of pastel, ranging from hard to soft. 1 Toison d’or, of Koh-i-noor. 2 Rembrandt, of Talens. 3 Van Gogh pastelpencils, of Talens. 4 With a sponge.

Ontmoet de beeldend kunstenaar achter Double-D-Art. Double-D-Art is de kunstenaarsnaam waarmee ik, Désirée Dekkers, mijn pastelschilderijen signeer. Mijn passie is het schilderen en tekenen met het veelzijdige medium pastel. Schilderen met pastel is een speciale techniek en is voor mij de manier om mijn creativiteit vorm te geven. Doordat pastel gemaakt is van pure pigmenten heeft het een groot scala aan sprankelende kleuren en is het fantastisch materiaal om mee te werken. Ik woon en werk in Nederland.

Donderdag 18 februari 2010. Interview in PGE Scribbler. Vertaling van het interview in de PGE Scribbler van february 2010. Mijn naam is Désirée Dekkers. Ik woon in Nederland. Ongeveer 33 jaar geleden had ik een tekenleraar op de HAVO, die erg geduldig was. Hij, als artiest, wist maar al te goed dat inspiratie iets is wat naar eigen believen komt en gaat. Ik zat dan ook weken achtereen op tafel mijn tijd weg te kletsen, tot dat de inspiratie kwam, waardoor ik elke vrije minuut bestede aan het tekenen.

Maandag 9 januari 2012. Opening expositie "Ode aan" in zorgcentrum Aelsmeer. Vanmorgen de expositie "Ode aan" geopend in zorgcentrum Aelsmeer. De bewoners waren geïnteresseerd in mij en wilden weten hoe je schildert met pastel. Nadat ik over mijzelf en het pastelschilderen had verteld, gaf ik nog een korte demonstratie van schilderen met pastel. Ondertussen hield Wilma voor mij de microfoon vast, zodat mijn uitleg tijdens het schilderen voor iedereen hoorbaar bleef. Zie voor verdere informatie pagina:.
