Writings On The Wall. Things to crow about". Thursday, August 19, 2010. Well Poo On You! Caution, may contain dirty words! So it's no secret that I have spent A LOT of time at the state fair this year. And I knew from being around livestock that I would at some point smell poo, probably see poo and if I was at the wrong place at the wrong time, step in poo. Not even an hour later a friend gives me a belated birthday gift. How appropriate, she must have known what was going to happen. Links to this post.

Writings On The Wall. Things to crow about". Wednesday, September 29, 2010. Nothing we do is simple. We always have a project going on. A simple visit to the home improvement store for nails turned into a decision to order granite counter tops and redo the kitchen. Mind you we were in the midst of building a pergola outside. So not only do we always have a project going on, usally we have two or three! Me and the slab! Everything had to be cleaned and primed. Two coats of flat black paint. After the sand...

Writings On The Wall. Things to crow about". Friday, April 1, 2011. My sincere apologies for my time away. I have been blogging in my mind and taking pics, just haven't got the time to get it all down in writing so I am going to stretch this topic to make it count! The nephew turns 2 on Saturday so my sister enlisted my help. I enjoy being crafty and it helps that I work for a farming organization so I have great material to work with. Next we needed goody bags, not plastic here, I cut muslin squares.

Writings On The Wall. Things to crow about". Sunday, May 1, 2011. Planes, Trains, Automobiles, and Boats! I had the opportunity to travel to Baltimore for work a couple of weeks ago. One evening we had "free" time for dinner on our own. This was my third trip to Baltimore in as many years so I took the opportunity to venture out a bit. A good friend of mine from college lives in Philadelphia so I headed there for dinner! We ended the visit with dinner and catching up on old times. Our hotel in Baltimore ...

Writings On The Wall. Things to crow about". Monday, May 23, 2011. Finally a chance to get the garden tilled and plants in the ground. I am begining to think we picked a bad year to start a farmers market booth, it will be August before we have product! The nephew was in town so had to be part of the action. We have gone back and forth with a name for this new venture and then it came clear, "Uncle Andy's Garden". Regardless we all had fun! Ended the day with a snack! Links to this post. My friend Char w...

Writings On The Wall. Things to crow about". Monday, April 4, 2011. It was a great day Saturday, the weather was awesome and the birthday boy was in good spirits! He started the morning with a new haircut! As I said last time I was working on decor, the banner was put together and we grew wheat grass to make little farm scenes for the tables. Goodie bags were stenciled and sewn and filled with farm treats for the kiddies. Even our gift went with the theme! He is a big fan of his uncle! Links to this post.

Writings On The Wall. Things to crow about". Saturday, November 6, 2010. It's begining to look a lot like Christmas! Many of you saw flurries Friday night. But Christmas has been at our house all week. Our schedule is a little different for a couple of reasons. My mom owns her own gift shop in Cayuga, IN. The Gingerbread Shed. Http:/ www.southsidechristmas.com/. The lights come on the night after Thanksgiving! I created my own stencils. I had bought a set and they were regular stencils with the lines...

Writings On The Wall. Things to crow about". Monday, January 3, 2011. My Pioneer Woman Christmas. Through my bloggy connections I was introduced to the Pioneer Woman this year and I am hooked! It is hard to believe someone took to the Internet with their thoughts, recipes, and pictures and now has a successful cookbook, a new book on the way and who knows what else in the coming year. I could only be so lucky to hit it big that way! Being on vacation last week I put the cookbook to good use. We still...
