Monday, January 14, 2013. 2013 has been good to us. I should be studying for the dreaded ATI but I just can't! I know I'm not going to get the best score in the world no matter what I do. I know I'll have to re-take it at the end of the semester and.I'm ok with that! So I shall blog:). 1 My amazing husband is going to bless the sacrament for his first time ever on Sunday! I am so proud of him and still so amazed at the power of prayer. I may or may not have stayed in his bed with him the first few nights).

Family Prayer and Baby Talk. 3 years ago Ger and I had "family prayer", which consisted of Ger rambling something I didn't understand in Spanish while I prayed the way that I knew how. Now we have real family prayer. We pray with senserity and with honesty. We talk with our Heavenly Father and know that He is listening. I am so grateful that Ger and I feel the same way about the gospel. I'm so grateful for the power of prayer. We pray every day to ask if Ger is coming home.

Monday, October 28, 2013. Where do we go from here? On October 4th Gerardo was denied a waiver again. This news was absolutely devastating. The consulate in Mexico is insistant that Ger crossed the border in 98 and was subsequently deported. Ger has wracked his brain, asked all of his family and friends,. And he knows this information is inaccurate. We contacted Sen. Hatch's office to help us. Friends and family wrote dozens of letters to him. It's so frustrating that we cant' just get this information.

Monday, July 9, 2012. Time flies when I'm with you. This summer has flown by and i can't believe i only have another month with you. Time stands still when i'm without you, and passes by so quickly when i'm with you. We've said goodbye to you 4 times in the past 19 months. Four times we shook as we hugged each each other at the airport in Guadalajara. Four times i had to tell Dylan that he wasn't going to see his daddy for awhile. Wednesday, May 1, 2013. Last week we sent in Ger's visa packet. Now we wait to hear when his interview at the consulate is. I know this will take about 4 weeks and yet I still run to the mail box every day. Waiting is not my favorite. It helps me to know that Ger got a job at the Chrysler dealership in Mexico. He has something to distract him now while we wait. I was hoping Ger would make it to my graduation but that isn't going to happen. He will be there in spirit. I love that kid. Orchard and Park Pics.

So many times we have felt helpless and lost. So many times our faith has been tested. But more times than not. We have believed in our future as a family. We have believed that there's a reason for this challenge. Yesterday we learned that Ger is finally getting another visa interview on October 4th.

Wednesday, May 2, 2012. 1st Year of Nursing School. This morning I took my last test of the first year of nursing school! I loved my clinical groups both this year! I made some amazing friends who helped me get through the hard days. My family has always been so supportive and it’s nice to have friends that can do the same! It’s so scary and exciting to think that in a year.I will be a real nurse! Thanks little buddy for always being so patient with me while I studied. I'm all yours this summer!
