Happy Honeymooners | Solitude
https://dougiec.wordpress.com/2010/04/27/happy-honeymooners
Tags: "Gwen and Garth". It would seem that Gwen and Garth think otherwise. In total, 15 of us went on their honeymoon, spending two weeks camping and driving through Botswana and Zambia…. After all, why relax and spend some quality alone time when you can keep on organising a big group of people, face yet more cameras and bring the family and friends with you around the game reserves of southern Africa? Honeymoon support team A. Too much of fun! Responses to “Happy Honeymooners”. Feed for this Entry.
Leading Lines | Solitude

Hey there folks, how’s it going? It’s been quite a while since I updated the blog, so my apologies for that. There are a few reasons, not least the fact that I’ve been busy working on putting together a whole new site! Is now up and running, so pop on over and take a look. In it I have a little information on my own photography (and how to book me if you’re having a wedding/event or need someone to sort out some extreme sports photography for you! Exhibition | Solitude
https://dougiec.wordpress.com/exhibition
A large part of the reason for starting this blog is to promote the exhibition that will take place when I return to the Lake District in May. As part of the Keswick Mountain Festival, I will be putting on an exhibition in the Theatre by the Lake in Keswick, running from the 19th May to the 5th July. It’s a joint exhibition with a Chilean Painter, Jaime Medina Jimenez. Here’s the blurb:. Dougie Cunningham and Jaime Medina Jimenez. We’re both really excited to be working on the project! It should bring an...
an open invitation to you all… | Solitude

An open invitation to you all…. Well, that’s that then. Game over. Finito. With that all in hand for the moment, I thought I’d take the chance to let you know what the script is for the exhibition over the next few weeks. A lot of you know what it’s all about already, but bear with me as we seem to have picked up a few more folks along the way since the blog started back in November! And that there’s a whole lot of great events in and around Keswick between the 19th nad 23rd of May. With respect to the p...

Andy Yuill - Photo Blog. Monday, 15 December 2008. The creation below appeared on a blog late last week and generated some considerable interest. . 12 x 580 Speedlights controlled with RadioPoppers, firing on full power is great for turning day into night. However some people seemed to miss the point of what this gives you, arguing that for the same price you could get a high wattage studio light. 160;Can't wait to see the results. For some more indepth info and comments. . Links to this post. My image ...
Andy Yuill - Photo Blog: HDR Vertorama Drama

Andy Yuill - Photo Blog. Friday, 27 March 2009. On my way back down from the Fort William Mountain Film festival I went on a bit of a detour which ended up taking in Castle Stalker and Loch Creran near to Oban and then across to Schiehallion via the Crannog on Loch Tay. So yeah quite a detour. The reeds in the foreground proved to much to resist and I finished up the long weekend in my wellies in the mud trying not to get stuck while I took the shot below. The sun was setting, it was dead still and I...
Andy Yuill - Photo Blog: New Zealand pics

Andy Yuill - Photo Blog. Thursday, 5 March 2009. All in all a great trip to a very photographic country, I've put a selection of some of my favorites below. I've been busy getting prints together for a photo exhibition in Edinburgh and I've been getting involved with an organisation called Active Earth to provide images as discussion points on our relationship with nature, so updates here have been a bit thin on the ground, but there will be more to come. Andy Yuill - Photo Blog: The west coast did not dissapoint
http://andyyuill.blogspot.com/2009/03/west-coast-did-not-dissapoint.html
Andy Yuill - Photo Blog. Friday, 27 March 2009. The west coast did not dissapoint. After a night on the west coast layby camping in the car while storms raged around and lightning flashed overhead I got an early start in the hope of Castle Stalked being lit by the rising sun, looking for the snowy islands as a backdrop. Loch Creran - Again a HDR image, still using ND Grads to ballance the dynamic range and the HDR path to get a little extra 'pop' in the textures. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

http://andyyuill.blogspot.com/2009/03/avalanche-dodging-in-back-corries.html
Andy Yuill - Photo Blog. Friday, 13 March 2009. Avalanche dodging in the back corries. How about the Snowgoose car park at 7am tomorrow? Now that it's getting lighter we don't have to make an early start". That was the call on friday night from an old uni friend Dave MacLeod. For more information on what he is up to. The wind and rain that had started when we were at the hut continued to deteriorate and I only had short windows to take pics of the walk in before the lens got a soaking. Dave and Malc ...

Andy Yuill - Photo Blog. Thursday, 30 April 2009. Sometimes Free of Charge is not the same as Not for Profit. I was approached my Schmap this week with a request to use one of my images on Flickr, for free, with the promise of some form of reciprocal links. So while the end user of the maps may not be paying for your image, Schmap are getting paid hansomly by the advertising companies. So why should someone else profit from my images and I get nothing in return. It doesn't make sense to me. Now, note tha...
