A Medley of Mayhem for Malcontents. Jun 18th, 2015 at 9:52 PM. So recently Ive been seriously dabbling with the idea of self-publishing. In particular, Ive been toying with the idea of self-publishing a sword and sorcery novella. Ill be the first to admit that when I send a story out on submission- as I have with this one- and it gets rejected time and again, the editors are usually right. It belongs in my trunk. Going to self-publish, but right now I feel like I probably will. A memory of light.

A Medley of Mayhem for Malcontents. May 21st, 2015 at 3:53 PM. What to Do With This Place? May 19th, 2015 at 5:47 PM. So Ive recently found myself wondering what I should do with this space. In the past Ive used it to discuss my work at Realms of Fantasy. To post my RoF Retrospectives, to discuss my writing, to discuss my other editorial work, and also to obsessively compare and contrast HBOs Game of Thrones. After that much time has passed, there isnt much to post about when it comes to the magazine any...
Game of Thrones: Season Five: Episode Three (Spoilers for Books and Show!) - Monstrous Musings

A Medley of Mayhem for Malcontents. Game of Thrones: Season Five: Episode Three (Spoilers for Books and Show! Apr 27th, 2015 at 10:32 PM. This was a pretty sloppy episode, worthy of season two, which I considered far and away the weakest season in the HBO series (though Ill note the Battle of the Blackwater episode was excellent and written by GRRM himself). Last week I complained about them showing Winterfell on the map instead of Sunspear, since they were. In Sunspear that episode and they werent.

So I see that other magazines are on Facebook, and I was debating the creation of a Facebook page for. To be honest, I'm still not sure what purpose Facebook really serves in my life. I do like that I'm occasionally in touch with old friends and school chums, and when one of us says something it's almost like we're all gathering around the water cooler to comment on something nice or to commiserate on something challenging. What do y'all think? Posted on Feb. 22nd, 2010 at 07:27 pm. 3) Sometimes folks ar...

Thank you, reviewer! - This Is My Brain

This Is My Brain. Its Not Perfect, But Its Mine. Thank you, reviewer! Sep 8th, 2011 at 11:41 AM. So often reviewers look at magazines for the fiction and possibly the poetry while rarely mentioning the regular columns. I am one of the writers for the Artist's Gallery column in Realms of Fantasy, and our August issue contained a piece on Women in Fantasy Art that I worked VERY hard on and was quite proud of. So it was extremely nice to see this review at SFFWorld.com today. Thanks, Joey O'Donnell!

A slushy day in NYC. Jan 8th, 2010 at 4:55 PM. I was able to meet Ellen Datlow for a wonderful lunch at my favorite neighborhood restaurant and I was home by 3:30! So this is blogging? Kind of boring, I think, but if people want to read about their friends' haircuts on Twitter, maybe someone wants to read about my drive into New York and my nice lunch! Stay warm and happy, people! 15 comments Leave a comment. Jan 8th, 2010 10:00 pm (UTC). Jan 8th, 2010 10:31 pm (UTC). Jan 8th, 2010 10:40 pm (UTC). I'll h...
