Poor guy, I thought. I kept picturing him stuck, shivering in the rain on the outskirts of Toronto. It has been many years since I thumbed anywhere and I had no idea how receptive the residents of Toronto would be to hitch-hikers in 2013. Cowboy Boots and a Slimy Misdemeanor →. I am in Dawson! Texted D’India on May 5th. It only took him a week and not the 2 weeks or month I suggested it could take when thumbing it. It seems his worst wait was 6 hours outside of Prince George; he didn’t have to camp out in the bush anywhere along the route and stole a decent night’s sleep in a restaurant somewhere out west.
