Monday, November 8, 2010. Being A First Year Teacher Means. 1 Many nights spent searching the internet for ideas and worksheets. Well not anymore! Where Great Teachers Find Great Ideas. I'm not so sure I am in love with teaching kindergarten but after working so hard this year to collect stuff, materials, worksheets, and other resources for this age group, I don't want to essentially start over next year with a different grade level. Sunday, March 4, 2012. I work at a stinkin' awesome place called Clay Your Way. It's great to work there except most of the time I want to quit on the spot and start painting. I always wish I were the artist and not the employee. Luckily for me, I get to paint sometimes. Also at Clay Your Way we do glass fusing. Here's my first piece. I don't know about you but I love it! Wednesday, July 11, 2012. Day 1: 14 hours. I crossed 6 states, saw 11 wind turbine blades being transported, nearly ran out of gas in rural South Dakota, passed through De Smet, SD "Home of Laura Ingalls Wilder", battled a spider in the car going 75mph, and ended the day with the Gateway Arch. Day 2: 8 hours. I crossed 3 more states and arrived safely home! Here are some photos from the drive. Notice the chan ge. In geography from flat North and South Dakota to the mountains for Tennessee.

Everything is hand crafted in my small shop. Using many species of domestic and imported hardwoods. Much of my domestic wood comes from storm damaged trees, development sites, land fills, the side of the road, etc. and is saved to be turned into the pieces you see here.
