Monday, July 19, 2010. I received my final grade on my cap stone project. It was a 3.93 out of 4.00. I'm finished. The 96 core units took me about 7 weeks of 8-10 hour days and it paid off. I now have my BS-Accounting degree. A special thanks to my mentor, Ian Poor for his support and great attitude and all the course mentors for their prompt responses to my questions about course subjects. Monday, July 12, 2010. On the home stretch. I have completed all the classes in the BS-Accounting program and I am now working on my capstone project. I have worked hard.most 8-10 hours per day 6-7 days a week so I dont want it to appear that the program is easy. The capstone project is comprehensive and will require a lot of research and thought. I expect to graduate with the degree by the end of July. I completed the course in 3 months although, about 20% of the required courses were transferred in.

My only concern is that I will not gain access to taskstream till the 10th and that means I wont be able to view the rubics for the assessments. Friday, May 28, 2010. I have taken 3 proctored exams using web-assessor and I love it. The web cam was delivered monday and I set it up and went through biometric identification process and the whole experience was uneventful. Anyone considering this test taking format need not be worried. This process saves me the hassles of driving to a proctored location, not to mention waiting two weeks to schedule a test. Saturday, May 1, 2010. May 1st My first day and EWOB is complete! I can tell you that the modules in EWOB were informational and do prepare you for the WGU distance learning program. You gain the knowledge and skills to navigate the system effectively. The only module that I felt was a bit too elementary was the last one dealing with time management and study skills.
