The Hurst's: December 2013
http://emily-jimmy-hurst.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 27, 2013. Hoping all my friends and family had a blessed Christmas season! We certainly did in the Hurst house! It went down like this. Christmas morning breakfast and reading the story of Christ's birth. Opening a few gifts. We love because He loved us. We give because He gave. Grace Louise got a pink BB gun and Jamesy got homemade play-doh, lovingly made and wrapped by his sweet sis. They enjoyed playing with it on Christmas day! They also shared a second gift, a new DVD to watch.

The Hurst's: On reading aloud and learning to read
http://emily-jimmy-hurst.blogspot.com/2013/12/on-reading-aloud-and-learning-to-read.html
Sunday, December 22, 2013. On reading aloud and learning to read. I've always loved reading aloud to my kids. Heck, I think I loved reading aloud even before I had kids. Must be the theatrical side of me. (My mom always was an animated reader and I think her school children love that most about her! I started adding up the minutes and quickly saw that the time I was reading aloud did not even come close. Peter Pan was our first chapter book, and with a few pictures sprinkled here and there, it was a grea...

http://emily-jimmy-hurst.blogspot.com/2013/12/camping-with-pops.html
Sunday, December 8, 2013. This weekend we went on a family camping trip with Pops! The kids survived the long car ride to White Springs, Florida, and we arrived excited to explore the camper and settle in. of course. it was 11 o'clock at night! Considering the challenges that come with traveling with an infant, it was a surprisingly relaxing trip, feeling a bit like vacation! Both of the kids were a little sickly, but behold, we came with essential oils and a cabinet full of remedies! Life Demands Prayer...

The Hurst's: Belly Shots
http://emily-jimmy-hurst.blogspot.com/2012/03/belly-shots.html
Sunday, March 4, 2012. This post marks the disappearance of my abdominal muscles and their oblique friends. The baby bump has officially arrived! I've just reached the point where you can pretty much tell I'm pregnant no matter what I'm wearing. I added two pair of jeans to the storage bin today, making more space for the beloved maternity wardrobe. Pregnancy body. But baby must grow, and so must I :-). I intended to take belly shots on Wednesdays before my yoga class, so that I was always wearing simila...

The Hurst's: Mama Deer, Daddy Deer, Baby Dear
http://emily-jimmy-hurst.blogspot.com/2011/01/mama-deer-daddy-deer-baby-dear.html
Thursday, January 13, 2011. Mama Deer, Daddy Deer, Baby Dear. Hunting together is something Jimmy and I have enjoyed even before we were married. Growing up with three older brothers I experienced my share of shooting guns and animal harvesting, but never experienced the true. Until Jimmy. (Not implying here that I "hunted" Jimmy. Actually he hunted me, but that's another post altogether.). Through the years I've learned. In all seriousness, though, he deserves it! Organizing, stacking, or counting, she ...
